Boy howdy time sure does flys. This don't mean that I'll gonna be posting for another year, but jist wanted to let ya know I ain't quite kick the bucket yet. Trip over it a few times but ain't got no broke toes from kick'n it.

I never ever wanted my blog to end this way but health issues will do that to ya. Talk'n bout aches an' pains an' die'n ain't what this blog was about. It was about my adventurous travel'n days in "Alice an' "Sally da house". 'Member'n those days makes a dust storm blow thru the house an' cause me tears in my eyes cause I cain't do it no more. Old is age ain't so bad, but health issues are. I was surprised to make it to 77 last birthday...September.

Much has happen since the last time we talked.....some good an' some bad. In my case it all been down hills like on a roller coaster. Up an' down day to day with the ups get'n farther apart. Now days what I call a good day, one year ago I called it a bad day. Does that make sense?

More on my poor health later, but first.....cancer. A year ago my oldest daughter was found to have breast cancer. That breast was removed an' radiation got it gone. Reconstruction was done along with some other surgery...a women thing. Today she is cancer free and went back to work for a big lawyer place in Atlanta where she worked 10 year ago as a executive secretary.....or something like that.

Two months ago my oldest son Robert was found to have a cancer in his chest...(damn, cain't remember what kind it is but the doc says it's rare). It's not inside his lungs but between the lungs an' rib cage. It's not a cancer that can just be cut out and say good-bye to it. His first dose of chemo started last week thru a hose they placed in his chest. Radiation will follow the chemo. So far he has had no real effects from the chemo. Not sick an' stuff like that. Time will tell. He gets a big dose of my prayer requests ever day. All other prayers will be appreciated.

In a few months....????...I will be a great grandaddy again....by my son Billy's second daughter Alysa. I have a 8 year old one what lives up in Iowa what I ain't never seen. Hopefully this summer. His name is Ian, son to my oldest grandaughter Violet...Billy's oldest daughter.

Back to roller coasters....man you should have took that ride with me the other night. I have chosen to not go to bed until bout 1:30am ever nite. Any time before midnight I'm wide awake at 4am an' I don't do get'n up while it still dark outside. Even go'n to bed at that time (1:30), I seldom get over 5 hour sleep and it ain't no good sleep. Afternoon naps help.....an' I never miss my naps. Pooof, just like that, I'm out like a light.

My breathing issues have got worster than a year ago. Last exam, 4 months ago, I was down to 32 what is very close to go'n into phase 4. I sleep with oxygen at nite but daytime I ain't got no stink'n rubber hose stuck in my nose. Awake blood/oxygen levels at 95 an' 96. I have 3 puffers I take ever day. Spriva Respimat, Symbicort, an' Pro Air.....my life saver. Do my mebulizer 2 or 3 time a day but the Pro Air does a much better job. Almost instant relief from a panic situation. Have ya ever go into a panic when ya cain't breathe? I'll tell ya righ now, it ain't no fun.

I could go on an' on bout all the shit I go thru everday, but I'll leave that to another time. Ha Ha, maybe in a year or so. In the mean time I'll post this just so's y'all know I'm still kick'n, bitch'n an' moan'n.

Hope everbody had a great Christmas and hope you have a great new year. Love ya all.
Where do I start after being gone so long?

My last blog post I had made the decision that it would be my last. Before that I thought it would be cool to write about my dying days. But shit, I didn't die. I tried writing about a few projects I had taken on and that didn't work out either. I ran out of projects. Then I ran out of energy and the desire.

Most of my day is spent sit'n in my office chair in front of the computer read'n news, do'n the Facebook thing, watch'n videos an' look'n at pictures. Or sit'n in the same chair watch'n Alaska Bush People an' stuff like that on the TV. I take long naps most every day.

I went fish'n a couple times in Robert's new kayaks. Sheesh, I thought I was gonna die. But I did catched a couple little bass fishes. More like tiny little bass fishes. Of course I have to modify the kayaks and put trolling motors on 'em. I ain't paddl'n no freak'n boat.

Of course we had to have a trailer to carry the kayaks an' fish'n gear.

During the rains, heavy rains, my porch floor would flood, turn into a small lake. So's I fix that. Tore the plywood off'n it, leveled the joists and installed a bonefied treated deck'n boards floor.

Now when we get a downpour of rain, it runs down through the narrow cracks an' no more lake on my porch. I think this was my last project before be'n confined to a damn chair.

Had me a few doctor appointments. My heart doc told me not to worry bout the skip'n heart beat an' to double up on my tachycardia meds. What I did. An' I ain't had no my skip'n heart beats. Heart seems to be work'n just fine again.

Another trip to the lung doctor and my breath'n has improved to a 42.....what ever the hell that is. Think'n it's lung capacity %. The puffers are a godsend, I can breath. Well wait a minute. There are many times, mostly in the morn'n when I almost go into a panic 'cause I can't get enough breath. Two puff off'n the Pro Air puffer an' I'm all right again. My breathing issues are my biggest concern.

A while back I put Leonard on a diet. Bought him some expensive no grain high protein food an' cut him down to 3/4 cup a day. He losed bout 3 pounds so I started let'n him eat out of the bad. A few bites an' he was back out the door. He gained bout 3 pound. He's back on the diet.

Here's a pic of the new seat covers I installed some months back.

Don't 'member I I mentioned a camping trip. Well, we went on one. Took the 2 remote controlled boats an' put them in the pond. Ha, only pis of the tug boat.
An' then it rained. Not a little rain, but a gully warsher. Campers look'n out their camper winders. But it was still a nice camp'n trip. Everbody had a great time.

I'm gonna cut this short. I hope I can get back into blogging but I'm not gonna promise anything. If I don't, it's been a wonderful excit'n 8 years....or something like that.
A simple request and life goes on....

Ok, it's been a while but here I am. What I'm gonna talk about I ain't got the slightest. Have ya ever feel that way. You know, sit down to write a letter an' don't know where to start.

Well here goes.
This blog belongs to none other than the old Billy Bob. I don't post no religion stuff an' I don't post no political stuff. It's most important that you don't do it neither. From this point on, all religious stuff an' all political stuff will be deleted as soon as I see it.
Now that we are all in unity on the subject, let's move on to some Billy Bob nonsense.

First on the agenda, let's all talk to RunNRose. Hey Rose, tell us bout the birdhouse. Have any birds taken up residence. Tell us what ya can Rose....get us all excitis.

I had to done build me a couple camp fires to get rid of all the scrap from build'n birdhouse an' bird feeders. Two container totes full an' one to go. Each tote full of scrap makes a good 3 hour campfire. Love it.

Hey dad, whatcha cook'n?

Don't ya just love a afternoon campfire?

I did me some work on the Mississippi stern wheeler river boat. The boarding ramp got demolished an' I had to completely re-rig it an' repair a couple broke pieces.

This was a 2 night cuss'n event. But that sucker won't be break'n no more. It is super glued in place.

The finished product of my daughter Doris' bird feeder. It is installed in her front yard right under her Billy Bob log cabin bluebird birdhouse. Damn, that was a mouth full. Ha, she filled it with sunflower seeds. All birds don't eat sunflower seeds.

Due to my older age an' get'n up from a short sit'n position, I decided I would replace my commode with a taller one. It arrived yesterday. Ha Ha, my commode photo has been photobombed by a orange cat.
This morn'n, bout 1pm I decides I'm gonna tackle the replacement before Robert gets home. Shouldn't take but bout 30 minutes with a 10 minute break. 3 1/2 hour later I have a brand spank'n new hi boy r/v toilet installed.
Now let me tell ya bout those other 3 hours. The freak'n supply line nuts were so tight a 24 inch pipe wrench was required (12 inch channel locks). I finally got the nut loose. The pipe will not come out of the fitting. Cuss cuss cuss....Robert is home. I finally get the old commode out of the bathroom. The freak'n black water tank is full. Full of sheit. I needs pumped. This is just the beginning.

Robert hooks up the discharge line to to "yo mama's" septic tank clean out. He turns on the macerator pump. This is a device that grinds up poop and pumps it to the clean out through a 1 inch flex line. No leaks please. The pump does it's thing an' then it quits pump'n. The black tank is still half full of undigested sheit. There is a blockage. A dam of poop stop'n the flow. 2 hour later the dam is broken up with water hoses, a few cuss'n words an' a homemade copper jet on the end of a water hose. Tank is empty an' commode is set an' functioning.
This was the most excit'n thing happen to me in close to a year. I smell like shit.

I been think'n bout buy'n new seats for "Sally da house" but got to think'n....WHY? So's I ordered a set of seat covers in hopes they will fit. Modifications have already begun. The arm rest covers don't fit right. So's "ya mama" did me some stitch work with her trusty sew'n machine. Will know tomorrow how they fit after modification.

Think'n this may be the one I ordered. Less the dog.

Health issues bout the same. No better, no worse. Heart doctor appointment Monday for a ECCO, what ever that is and have a monitor installed for 24 hours. We gonna find out just what is go'n on with this old heart and skip'n beats all the time. Hope I don't need no pacemaker. "Pills Doc, give me pills".

Until next time....good night and wish me some good luck with the doctors.
It's been a hard hard hard 3, 4, or 5 weeks. Have ya ever had that "don't give a shit" attitude an' throws everthing in the dumpster? Now that's what I'm talk'n bout.

We had us some cold weather. We had us some pretty darn warm weather. I took advantage of the pretty darn warm weather an' done me some projects. As best I could with these damn health issues. My arms is all bruised up. My lungs are full of sawdust. I ain't shaved in bout a month or so.

Had us some tornado warnings this morn'n. One hit in Carrollton, Georgia just 10 mile to the south of "Yo Mama's R/V Resort and Recreational Park" where the old Billy Bob is camped at. Had a ton of rain here an' some them sissy Georgia high winds (25 mile a hour or so). No tornadoes.

So, what have I been do'n all this time?

Just thought you might like one of my birds....him are pretty.

Then Levi wanted his picture took.

See....I tole you, we gonna put some step'n stones on the porch deck.

Robert tells me...."daddy, go sit down, I'll do this for you".

He did a good job too......

A few months back I had builded a plywood storage rack outside the shop. But fully loaded, the bottom fell slap out. It was covered with my old R/V awning with no doors to keep the rain out. It needed rebuilding. An' that's exactly what I did. I have the bruised up arms to proof it too. It now has a solid floor, a wood roof, siding an' 2 homemade Billy Bob doors.

I'm think'n I did a pretty good job on this project. Robert is tickled pink.

In the mean time, my daughter Doris come over beg'n me to make her a bird feeder to go along with the birdhouse I builded for her. She said she didn't want a big log cabin feeder, just a little bird feeder. Well the old Billy Bob don't work that way.

So's I started build'n her a bird feeder.

Oh my God, Billy Bob is building a log cabin.

This is a log cabin bird feeder....less the chimney.

This is a chemney.....yet to be paint washed to a beautiful sandstone finish.

Not the normal perfection you would expect from Billy Bob chimney construction, but what the hell, birds don't care what it looks like.

On other news.....the old Billy Bob is get'n older ever day. Health issues are tak'n their toll. I sit a lot. Even work'n on projects I sit on my ass....except when using the table saw. Breathing is still bout the same. It sucks.

Still haven't made a solid decision on building birdhouses for sale. I know I could be a millionaire in bout a years time, but what the hell would I do with all that money? It's never been a goal of mine to be rich. Just enough to get by with is just fine with me. My name ain't Donald Trump.

Camping trip in 3 weeks. It's a new place Robert found. He's gonna do some electrical work for the owner and the owner said we can come camp out any time we want.....even family camp outs. They got a 5 acre pond there, so's I'm tak'n the remote control tug boat with us. Can hardly wait. Hope my health is good that weekend.
Oh, by the way. I been work'n on the Chris Craft boat a little. Moved it back to the livingroom. Installed a servo motor in it to control the rudder....after some "modifications". Works just fine.

This is under the back seat.

I hope my next post is sooner than this one. It's hard.

Whoa, it's Sunday again. Time sure do flys when you're hav'n fun.

Well I ain't really been hav'n me no fun, it's been way to cold outside to have fun. But, guess what? I'm think'n maybe them cold days is finished. Yesterday it made it up to 65 degs...an' yes, I was outside do'n stuff.

Heart doctor appointment went fairly well the other day. Doctor remembered me from 2 1/2 year ago on a check up to have back surgery. What I didn't have. Think'n that may have been a good decision. Anyhows, the doctor ask me a whole bunch of questions. I answered best I could. He listen to my heart an' stuff an' says, it's work'n. It wasn't skip'n beats. EKG was took an' doctor say it was good. Tests are scheduled an' I'm gonna wear a monitor for a day so's the doctor can see my skip'n heart beats in black an' white instead of tak'n my word for it. Blood pressure is up a bit. He prescribed me some cholesterol meds. Probly Lipitor or something like that. He don't seem to be too concerned that my heart is skip'n like it is. But I sure as hell am. Will know more after the other test an' monitor. Ha, that won't be until next month.

With "yo mama" an' HIL Harry due to return home Monday, the mailbox was installed out by the street. Did I take a pic of it....hell no. But I'll head out that way today an' post a pic or two later.

The other project I was gonna do to the porch deck, my wonderful son did for me. He says...."daddy, you can't lift that heavy stuff....sit yer ass down". I watched him. It's almost complete. Leveling is bout all that's left to do. Pics to follow when it's finished. Soon as it warms up a few more degs I'll go out there and do that.
Well shoot, that didn't take long. Project is completed.

It's all straight an' level. I hate crookit stuff. Hmmm, what ya think bout some step stones right in the fmiddle.....bout 4 feets wide??? Home Depot here I come. 4 - 12 x 12 an' a bag of sand.

I was sit'n here look'n out the winder. What the hell, there's a great big ol' squirrel out there on the bird feeder eat'n up all the bird seeds. In 15 years of camp'n at "yo mama's" house, this is the first squirrel I seen here. An' there's woods across the street an' trees all over the place. I skeered him off with screams an' wav'n arms. Next time he get's a firecracker throwed in the yard. Give the little bastard a heart attack.

Had me a nice campfire the other night. Burn'n up some the left over log cabin wood from 3 birdhouses, 1 bird feeder an' 1 mailbox. Still got 2 more containers of trash wood to burn. Yeee Ha, 2 more campfires.

Billy Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10549232524429115454noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169314107796334970.post-75640908498175778372017-03-13T12:46:00.000-05:002017-03-13T12:54:02.217-05:00It's been a miserable week in sooo many ways

Holy cows, when you fall down hill, expect a few aches an' pains when ya reach the bottom. That's what this last week or so has been all about.

Remember I was tell'n ya bout my heart start skip'n again? Well it still is. An' when it does I know bout it 'cause I get all light headed an' stuff. But lack of coffee does that too. Just 2 more days an' we head off to visit the heart doctor. I'm gonna rekon they gonna suck a bunch of blood out me with them great big ol' needle thingys an' put me on a bunch of tests for the next 6 months or so. But it's got to be done. You'll be the first to know the results.

Since my last lower back ablations (4 of 'em) I ain't had too many complaints bout pains an' stuff. That was until a couple weeks of...."aspirin, take some aspirin". So's I'm gonna rekon again that them dead nerves is regenerat'n and feel'n the pain. Note: Dead nerves come back to life after bout 8 months or so. I will gladly go back to the doctor an' get them suckers killed again. What's the Alka Seltzer say'n? "Oh what a relief it is".

Then there's the issue with my dad gum hernia. It's start'n to hurt an' that sucker has growed. Looks like we gonna be do'n some surgery in the near future.

I got me one other issue what I don't talk about. Another visit to another doctor in the very near future.

Ok, "that's all I got to say bout that",,,,Forrest Gump.

RunNRose received her birdhouse right on schedule. That's why I love UPS. She already got it mounted on a pole in her back yard by a professional birdhouse installer. That looks mighty good up there on that pole. Nice install.

Here it is being installed by her wonderful other half. Sorry I haven't answered your emails Rose, but it's been a rough week.

The log cabin mailbox is completed. But not installed on the pole by the street. It's too damn cold out there to be do'n projects. This whole week is gonna be cold. Upper 20's an' lower 30's ever night.

That's one big ass mailbox.

Back side completed.

An' here is the front side completed. Oh wait, I gotgit to take a pic with the flag thingy chimney installed. You'll see that once we got it mounted on the pole out by the street.

"Yo Mama" still doesn't know bout her special gifted mailbox. I've had to threaten all my kids to keep it mum.....don't say a word. When she an' HIL Harry gets back from Texas,,,,,boy howdy I can hardly wait.

My next project I don't think I mentioned....but maybe I have. Hell I don't know. My porch deck is gonna get some modifications. As it sits now, when ya walk on it, the floor sags a bit. Ya see, when I builded it, I put the joist on 2 foot centers. That will be changed to 16 inches centers.....be strong like bull. There will be a 2 x 4 added to the ends of the floor joist so's it will be straight. No more this up an' down stuff.

Here is the new floor joist.

See how crookit that is? We gonna fix that. I'm gonna have me a brand spank'n new porch. But not today. It's too damn cold out there. HEY!!! There's 2 of my kids on the porch. Fat cat Leonard an' my old dawg Sadie Mae.

That's it for today. Cain't think of anything else you might be interested in. Hope your weather, wherever you are, is better than here in Georgia.

Gotta love it

This will be a short to the point post. Ya see, the old Billy Bob is a busy man an' he ain't got no time for lollygag'n with no blog post. Well really I do. But blog'n this early in the morn'n is hard. Especially with only one eye open an' your brain is still in "don't remember shit" mode. Man this get'n old stuff is get'n old.

I connected to UPS tracking yesterday morn'n to see where Rose's birdhouse was at. The tracking number was no good. I also sent Rose a couple emails with no return. Hope everthing is OK at Rose's house.
Update. Checked the tracking number again. The birdhouse in transit to Texas.

This is what the base will look like

Here are the 4 screws that hold it together. Base position is marked on that piece of "would". Standing it up like this is the easiest way to install the screws. By the way, do not install the bidhouse before installing the 2 x4 angle thingy to the base.

The cabin is screwed to the base. See that piece of wood under the cabin. I forgot to put it in the box. You should be able to see the screw holes in the bottom of the bottom logs.

See those screws? They hold the cabin to the base. Good luck finding screws (1 1/2" sheetrock screws).
Oh wait....I forgit to tell ya. I builded a little roof to keep the pour'n down rains off'n my new BBQ grill....what I ain't used yet. It's very light....don't weigh much, made out of FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic).

See, I tole you, glued together in 1 piece. Probly won't do the same on the other side. Takes way way too much time to set up an' glue into 1 piece. Ha Ha, but I probly will.

Mailbox is gonna fit perfect...with a little modification MsB. Them logs on the mailbox door are glued and brad nailed in place. Even builded a handle thingy so's the mail lady don't tear shit apart try'n to open it.

No new health issues. But that dad gum heart started skip'n beats again. Not as bad as before, but yup, it's skip'n. Appointment in bout a week.

Ok, that's it for today. Hope everbody is hav'n themselves a great day. I'm do'n the best I can for great days. Weather been nice,,,,50's at night an' upper 60's day time. Well wait a minute....a few days ago we had us some real winter weather. Got down to 28 deg's a couple nights.
Hi folks. Even though I been down in the weather again, I ain't been sit'n on my ass do'n nuttin.

Speak'n of weather, I been check'n my heart rate bout a hunnert time a day. For the last 2 days, or is it 3, my heart has been beat'n just like it supposed to do. Ain't catched it skip'n a beat not once time. You ain't gonna believe how much that improves my outlook on life. But I'm still gonna keep my appointment with the heart doctor.

Also speak'n of the weather. Did you see that 15 minute storm what blowed through my yard yesterday night? Them winds was a blow'n close to a hunnert mile a hour. Rain was pour'n down by the bucket fulls from ever direction. Hail was a fall'n from the sky. Temps drop 10 degs in 10 minutes. And then all a sudden, it was all over. Sunshiny skys today....57 degs.

Did I mention I buyed me a brand spank'n new BBQ grill? As much as I hate retiring my Weber Q, I did. Ya see, I was do'n me some research find'n a grill what would stand up to the torture an' abuse, the old Billy Bob gives to grills..... an' not blacken my chicken. I wanted a 2 burner so's I can do me some indirect grill'n. I fount what I was look'n for. It's not a travel grill, but it's also not a great big ol' YUGE grill. Home Depot had it in stock for a hunnert dollar.

I've already started modifications. See that temp thingy? That come out my Weber Q grill. And, since I like to sit in my chair while grill'n, it needs to be lowered bout 3 or 4 inches.
"Cut the frick'n legs off Billy Bob, modify it".
That WAS what I was gonna do, but shoot, why not just cut 3 or 4 inch off'n the wood platform legs? That what I gonna do.

Because of the damage the rains did to my Weber grill, this one will have a roof over it. I builded the roof yesterday afternoon. Yet to be installed....but it's sit'n out there on the da porch. It will be mounted to the sun shade and extend over the awning. Ain't no rain gonna eat up my new grill.

This is for RunNRose. I got your emails, so's don't be think'n I'm ignoring you. Today I been out in the shop modify'n a freak'n shipping box the log cabin won't fit in. That is done. I builded the mounting platform thingy....but YOU got to put it together. Will include instructions by email.
By the way Rose, you will have to find you someone to plant a 4 X 4 in your yard for the mounting of the Billy Bob log cabin birdhouse.

The log cabin birdhouse is sitting inside the modified box....minus puff balls/bubble wrap or something to protect it in shipping. I bet ya a dollar I gonna write FRAGILE all over the box. Shoot, I may even spell it wrong, just for fun ya know. How bout FRAILGE?

Once it is installed, I would love to see a couple photos by email. And with your permission, I will post them on my blog.

Ok, we done with that. Now what?

One more thing. I got me another project. Follower an' long time buddy Louie suggested I build a log cabin mailbox. Me an' Louie think along the same lines.

Billy Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10549232524429115454noreply@blogger.com57tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169314107796334970.post-50191756394733936912017-02-27T18:24:00.002-06:002017-02-27T18:24:20.164-06:00We builded another log cabin birdhouse....Yeee Haa!!!!

I searched every word of my last blog post and find nowhere had I mentioned politics or religion. I searched other blogs to make sure my post had actually updated. It did.
Did I offend someone?

I had me some cedar left over from building the sun shade thingy an' I got to think'n..."What would a cedar log cabin birdhouse look like"? So's I breaked out my timber saw mill (table saw) an' I start cut'n a pile of logs. I'm gonna build just one more log cabin birdhouse.

At this point, I have 4 log cabin designs to build from. Just in case I ever want to sell 'em. But the one I am building right now IS NOT FOR SALE. It's free....delivered to your door by UPS.
"Now Billy Bob, how you gonna fit a 17 inches wide birdhouse in a 16 inches square cardboard box"?

RunNRose's log cabin birdhouse is finished. Well, maybe not all the way finished. I still got to construct the base for mounting it on a 4 X 4 pole out in the yard. Ha Ha, 4 X 4 post is not included.

Now all I need is an address to send it to. Here is my email address. billpiep@yahoo.com. I cain't guarantee when Rose will receive her Billy Bob birdhouse, but will send you tracking details as soon as it is dropped off at UPS. Enjoy. I enjoyed building it for you.

Ok, I have a cardiologist doctor appointment in bout 2 more weeks. According to the nice lady at the doctor office, I don't have to worry myself to death at this time. So I rekon for the next 2 weeks I will monitor my heart rate an' if'n things get any worse, I can always call 911 an' go to the emergency room if needed. I'll keep you informed.

Ok, I'm in the market for a brand spank'n new BBQ grill. I like my Weber Q100, but it has issues. The temp can not be regulated below 320 degs....what burns the hell out what ever I put in it. Chicken, just chicken....an' I like the hell out of grilled chicken. It also burns the bottom of my pizza. The grate is in need of replacement. Rust has eat that sucker plumb up. Robert looked at grill at Academy an' fount me one I may like. So we gonna go look see.

Seen a follower lady up in Wisconsin made a enchilada dish out of taquitos an' enchilada sauce....cheese an' stuff. I says I gonna try this. I did. Won't be do'n that no more. Although Robert an' DIL Mandi said they was good. They have both been taught to lie when it comes to food.

There ain't nuttin new to write about other than it's get'n on the cool side again for a bit. Lower 30's at night. 54 degs today. More expected. Give me some more of that 50's at night an' mid 70's day time.....uh huh, I can take that kind of weather. Winter is over ya know.

Till next time....miss all my followers. Talk to me.
I'm gonna start this post today, but ain't gonna guarantee I'll finish it today. I ain't in a writ'n mood this morn'n, but then I ain't got my first cup of coffee digested yet.

Ok, I got to slow down on these projects just a bit.

The shop doors are finished an' rehung. They are now solid like a rock. No more that rickity, crookit, don't close right, Billy Bob homemade shop doors. "You know some shit Billy Bob".

That pile of materials was just sit'n out there in the yard. I cain't have lumber lay'n in my yard like that....gotta do something with it.

Robert digged me some holes in red Georgia clay. We planted two landscape timbers....and construction begun. I'm gonna build me a sun shade for the afternoon sun while sit'n out there on the porch deck....sip'n up a cup an' think'n ya know.

"What the hell Billy Bob, you forget to take pics during construction".
Ok, I got in a hurry....I am not a patient man. It's gotta be done right now, not tomorrow, right now.

I'm gonna stop this post right here an' finish it later.....hopefully today. AFTER I finish the sun shade thingy.

Well, here it is a few not wasted hours later....da Billy Bob done did it. The sun shade is done. Moved my Weber Q grill after put'n short legs on the platform...got it all level up. Hauled most of the building materials back to the shop.
"Now what ya gonna do Billy Bob, you is slap out of projects"?

Now there is a slight possibility I may do some modifications to the sun shade. I'm not totally satisfied.....drawing board. That would be another project wouldn't it? But I could always clean up the porch deck....put some of that stuff where it lives.....vacuum up all the leaves and stuff.
"My God Billy Bob, you wouldn't dare clean up da porch". Well I will if I take a hanker'n.

Looks like I gonna have to make me a appointment with a heart doctor. My heart has been skip'n a beat like it ain't never done before. Then it will beat at half speed....41 beats a minute. I'm think'n this could possibly be something serious. Then all a sudden it goes back to normal....80 beats a minute. Will let ya know as soon as I know.

Ok, post time.....Oh wait!! One my favorite followers asked me a important question. That would be the wonderful RunNRose what I named the Chris Craft boat after. I tossed the thought around bout building log cabin birdhouses an' sell'n 'em. But that's bout as far as it got.

Ok let's try this again. Love ya all and miss the hell out of Texas.

Often times we just don't have the capacity to sit down and write a blog post. *I just made that up*.

Not a whole lot has been happening here in the peach state of Georgia. Weather has been almost perfect if there's such a thing. I ain't a believer in "climate change", but it sure has helped me make it through this winter. While some Yankee states have been freez'n their yangs off, dig'n their cars an' pick 'em up trucks out of snow banks, I been sit'n out there on my porch deck sip'n up a cup in upper 60's temps. Not every day mind you, but this winter has been [this] close to perfect.

I think I mentioned in my last blog post that there was a possibility I would build a bluebird log cabin bird house for my daughter Doris. Some hows she got wind of it and she catched me in the construction of it. Tell'n me she didn't want a BIG ol' birdhouse...a small one would do. I don't do small!!!
As of today (what ever day it is today)....well a few days ago, it was completed an' ready for pick up.

I breaks out my Walmart special notebook an' do me some drawings. Yeah, this will do just fine.

This is the choice I decided to build.

It all started with a bunch of boards off'n some kind of shipping crate. A short time on the table saw, I got me a pile of logs for a log cabin.

Construction begins after each log has been stained and notched on each end to lock the logs together.

Have ya ever made board an' batten gable ends on a table saw. I knows some shit.

Door and winders constructed......like doors and winders is a hard job.....HA!

Roofs installed. Now that was a chore get'n them suckers to fit right.

Billy Bob design homemade rock chimney is installed.

And we have a completed bluebird log cabin birdhouse.

But I ain't done yet. Other projects are in the makings.

One was to throws the bird feeder in the dumpster and build another one just like it. An' that's exactly what I did.

The next project is to rebuild the warped an' crookit doors on the shop. One is completed an' rehung. The other is sit'n on the roller table wait'n for the old Billy Bob to show up and fix that sucker. Photos there are none....yet.

Then I have another project to build before "sit'n on the porch time" rolls around in warmer weather. A sun blocker to keep afternoon sun off'n me while I'm sit'n out there sip'n up a cup think'n of new projects. Robert done picked up the materials needed.

"Shit Billy Bob, you been one busy man".

Billy Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10549232524429115454noreply@blogger.com13tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169314107796334970.post-57719066663892712222017-02-02T13:21:00.003-06:002017-02-02T13:21:43.186-06:00Well shoot, this post ain't what I had in mind

Ok, now where were we. Oh yeah, we was posting project pictures. But before we get into that....

It's hell get'n old and stuff wears out and breaks down. I been hav'n me a hell of a time for the last 2 or 4 years. Had it not be'n for my son Robert com'n to south Texas an' rescuing me a couple year ago, I might not be here today. I'm talk'n bad shape when he come get me.

But, in the last 2 years, more stuff broke down an' it ain't fixed yet. One of those break downs the doctor, he done prescribe me some medicines what is supposed to fix it. The side effects are terrible an' I cain't take the meds. It's hard to have to live with a break down what ya cain't fix. Not life threatening, but it do get quite painful bout 2 time a month.

I'm a retiree from the University of Texas an' they pay part of my secondary insurance what includes prescription DRUGS. Everbody likes drugs. Anyhows, they change my DRUG provider to the United States drug program. Medicare part D....or something like that. Ok, I'm not in Texas at the time and Georgia is "out of circuit". But guess what, I just called them while I was typing this....and my prescriptions are covered in Georgia. I wrote all the shit for nothing....LOLOLOL.

Ok....projects. But before I get into old projects, guess what happened to my latest. The log cabin birdhouse. Ya see, when I was building the chimney I had to make my own rocks....out of spackling. As a experiment, I placed a piece of the sampe rock thingy in a bowl of water. It turned to mush. The chimney will do the same thing in a rain. The chimney was removed and sealed with 2 heavy heavy, very heavy, coats of polyurethane. That should seal that sucker from drowning an' turn'n to mush in a downpour. First good rain, what could possibly be today, I'll let ya know how it worked out.

My daughter Doris say to me...."I want one....please daddy, I want one". Do I see another log cabin birdhouse in the immediate future? I need pallets, a bunch of pallets.

We been hav'n some pretty dad gum good weather here in Georgia. Upper 50's, 60's and a couple days in the lower 70's. For winter, ya cain't beat that with a stick. But, there is some colder temps headed this way. But still in the lower to mid 50's during the working hours.

Since "yo mama" an' HIL Harry are in Texas, Robert has been serv'n me up some pretty dad gum suppers for me. I ain't cooked since they left. If they stay in Texas long enough, I may gain some my lost weight back. Can anybody spell 1 inch thick Porterhouse steak med. rare, baked tater an' a pile of green beans [] this tall? Shit, now I'm hungry.

Ok, I'm gonna have to postpone my project pictures for today. But I ain't gonna forget to get back on 'em in a few days. Until then.....have yourself a great day. See ya laters.

Well let's start with a few project from the last 8 or 10 years.
I been want'n to do this for quite some time, but thanks to Louie, I'm gonna give it a try.
My God I done a lot of projects in such a short time I don't know where to start.

Ya see, I set up camp in Deming New Mexico back in 2005 I'm think'n it was. So let's start there.

But before we go that far into the future, lookie here what I builded an' modified.

This was when I made a trip to Ridgecrest Ca. to take care of my aunt for a few months when she broke her hip. I was bored an' needed me something to do.

Today this airplane is stowed in a compartment under "da house".

I had a old 1984 Ford Bronco II what needed a paint job.

This is the one I called the "little red broncoII" All ya had to do was look at the key and the engine was run'n. Loved this old "jeep".

Have ya ever builded a sail cart? Take a gander at this one. I actually builded this while I still worked at The University of Texas. Finished it after my first year of travels 2002 an' 03. Crashed it into a tree and bended the long frame tube beyond repair. Dumpstered it.

Somewhere's along the way I got into gold prospecting. I needed me a gold machine, so's I builded one.

This is called a drywasher 'cause ya don't use water to warsh the gold with. Ya use air instead.
Here we are wash'n gold with air. My God, I ain't never dig so much dirt in all my life.

While camped at a RV park downtown Deming, I met Louie and "old pesky neighbor" Wayne. Me an' pesky mover out of town to another cheaper RV park an' I set up camp for a few short years. I was stuck in Deming.
Since I had me 2 dogs, Sadie Mae and Lug Nut, I needed a fence. And the old Billy Bob don't build fences without a porch. The "da porch" was born.

So what do you do if you got a porch an' 2 dogs. Ya build a dog house, that what ya do.
Ok, I been at this for a couple three hours look'n up pictures an' stuff. My fingers are tired. My eyes are tired. My feet are tired. I'm freak'n hungry.
Will continue this at another time.

Ok, here it is another day and I have very little news to talk about. But I'll give it a try anyhows.

Health issues are bout the same they was a month or so ago. Ain't no worse and ain't no better. I rekon I can live with that. Take all my meds ever day.....that's all I can do.

Well no, that ain't all I can do. I could go outside an' walk around the yard a few times for some exercise....but I probly ain't gonna do that neither. Walking causes me breath'n issues what I don't like at all. So NO, I ain't gonna walk around the yard. But I do get me some walk'n exercise walk'n from "da house" out to the shop an' back again bout a hunnert time a day. So all ain't lost.

For a short while I was hav'n to take aspirin for my lower back an' hip, but it's been over a week since I had to take any. I'm completely satisfied with the last ablations I had done. Bout 80% of the pains is gone.

There's a possibility I may have to have something done with this damn hernia. It done got bigger. But there ain't no pain of discomfort. We'll see what the next month has to say bout that.

The bluebird log cabin birdhouse is sit'n out there on the pole.
Guess what, you gonna see lots of pictures.....

Remember them rocks I was look'n for? Well I didn't find the kind I was look'n for. So I had to make my own....out of interior/exterior spackling compound. Spread that putty stuff on to the 2 X chimney frame an' with a tooth pick, I builded rocks.

This is a sample piece before I began on the chimney. Worked out pretty slick.

Smear'n on the spackling compound in sections.

More smear'n and tooth pick'n an' I got the front of the chimney completed.

Finished product. I did have to do a color wash on it to get the rock color I wanted. Look like sandstone to me.

But, before I can install the chimney, there is lots of work to be done to complete the cabin.

Bedroom dividers were installed so's the birds would have some privacy. But you already knowed that. Make the door look like a real log cabin door. Stained the winders an' trimmed 'em out.....(not finished in this photo). Put a front porch on so's the birds could sit outside in the shade. Made roof removable for upstairs clean outs. Hinges add to the back of the cabin so the cabin can be tilted back for downstairs clean outs. Put it all together and added the finished and dry chimney. Mounted it on the pole and platform.

We in the stages of find'n a campground for a family Memorial day weekend. Here in the east ya got to reserve months ahead or you don't go camp'n. More on this later.

Oh, before I forget, "yo mama" an' HIL Harry went to south Texas. Robert has a new job location in downtown Atlanta, so he is home ever day
Getting down to the last of this project. Two room (nest area}dividers in the upper floor. Make roof removable for clean out of nests. Rock mason the fireplace chimney. Now where the hell am I gonna get some rocks the correct size? A tad of old timey trim to the door.
What ya think bout naming it "Trump Tower"?

I will be back at another time to tell ya a story of this construction project.

Have a nice day.

Ok, I'm gonna give this a try.
"Oh yeah, we gonna give this a try when you don't got no idea what ya gonna say" "You go Billy Bob".

Well shit, how long has it been? What have I done to write about, Nuttin. It's very very hard to sit down an' write when your life is just a day by day thing.

Went off to see the breath'n doctor a while back, bout a week or two ago. Very little improvement in my lung capacity....like 1 point. From 37% to 38,4%. Whoop-tee-doo, I can breath again. Staying onthe same 3 puffers and nebulizer stuff for the next 4 or 6 months. Hell, I don't know....puff puff puff. Weight still bout the same, 13# low.

We had a pretty nice time through that nasty storm thingy a week or so ago. Lowest temp at "da house" got down to 16 degs one night. Mostly in the lower 20's at night and mid 40's daytime. Mr Heater and 2 electric heaters kept me more than comfortable. Ha, you should see the heavy thick blanket what sleeps with me. That sucker would handle Alaska winter weather.
This week has been beautiful, as will next week be also. Mid 50's at night and....wait for it....upper 60's and lower 70's daytime. You people up north can have all that snow you want.

Oh crap, forgot....had to buy another computer. Bet ya never guess what operating system it has on it. Windows 10. And it upgrades at least 3 times a week. What the hell is Bill Gates think'n? I am NOT at all happy....but at least the letter X works on this one. See...xxxxxxXXXXXxxxxx. No more cut and paste ever time I type a word with a X in it. Like EXCITIS.

I went to another doctor, but I think I may have already tole you. I don't have cancer. It is just a normal growth people get when they reach a certain age (any age) and from eat'n too many pinto beans. I'm think'n pinto beans.

Ok, I may have me a new project. I been think'n bout it for some time an' now I'm think'n serious. A two story log cabin bird house for the blue birds. Now where am I gonna get me a truckload of old pallets. Pallet wood is perfect for build'n log cabins.
Here is one I really like. Rustic and room for bout 6 bluebird apartments.

Shoot, I could live in this one....if'n I never had to go upstairs. I love log cabins, yup I do.

Or maybe something like this but with a rustic look'n wood roof.

I could easily live in this one too.

Everbody want'n me to go back to Texas. As much as I would love to do that, it's just not possible. My health issues would never allow that. As long as I have my son Robert, "yo mama" and HIL Harry to care for me, I'm stuck in Georgia.

Sorry I don't have much to say this trip, but this is all I got. Until next time, I love ya all.

Billy Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10549232524429115454noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169314107796334970.post-2310483092768802712016-12-19T13:55:00.001-06:002016-12-19T13:56:48.315-06:00I am not dead

Ok, just a very short post to let everyone know I am still kicking. I am not dead!!!!

I've put much thought into what to do with my blog. It was built as an adventure blog.....I no longer have adventure. I am [this] close to deleting the blog but haven't yet had the nerve to do it. Too many of my nonsense posts would be lost forever. I do enjoy going back and reading them. Laughter is a great medicine.

Have ya ever had a case of migraine depression? It's a depression that will just not go away. That's where I'm at. Nothing matters to me, not even my health. Although I really don't want to kick the bucket just yet.

Much to do with my depression has to do with "it's cold in Georgia" and not being able to do the things I want to do. I know, sorry excuse, but that's all I got. I can no longer go outside to sit on the deck sip'n up a cup....and it ain't even winter yet.

Health wise, I'm do'n pretty good. Got a pain in my lower back what ain't supposed to be there, but I can live with it. Lung issues are bout the same, or maybe a little worster. I faithfully take my puffer meds every day. The stomach issues seem to be all repaired.

I did go out to the shop a month or so ago an' do me a little project. Ya see, I was all worried bout what them birds gonna eat during the winter....so's I builded a neat little bird feeder.

An' then I got to think'n, how them birds gonna keep warm? So's I builder a fireplace for 'em.

I are a stone mason.....yeee ha
The birds are happy. But, blue jays bump their heads on the porch roof. Since this pic was taken, the bird feeder has been lowered to the top of the chain link fence. They like it better there and now I can see it from inside "da house". So I like it better too.

I ain't gonna make ya no promises on when I'll make another blog post, but I rekon I'll still do another sometime. "When Billy Bob, we need to know"?

About your phone call Louie. I listened to you talk to me and I tryed to answer, but my phone does not transmit what I say.....no sound or what ever ya wanna to call it. Then it went black, all the pretty lights turn slap off. I ain't yet took it in for repair. A repair was made to the power cord (charger) where it was chewed up. Two days ago my phone ring. I says what the hell....an' I says "hello". The freak'n thing works. Ha Ha, end of story.

Ok, "yo mama" come down for a visit. Cut'n this short. See ya another time.

Boy howdy how time passes us by. It's been 3 weeks since I last posted, but all y'all know all bout that don't ya?

I been one busy little feller since I last seen ya. Got that 18 item project list completed an' started on a new one. The shop has been finished and organized....gonna work out Ok if'n Robert don't clutter up the benches. Betcha a dollar he do as soon as he returns from his out of town job.

Since these photos were took, there has been changes. Shelves, lumber racks, clean up an' that kind of stuff. It's now a woodworking shop.

I had me a winter inside "da house" project for front windershield curtains. Well guess what, it's done. Now let old Mother Nature try to come in an' make me cold this winter. That's my "wall".....no open borders in "da house".

I've done all I'm gonna do on the gnome house. I got me some photos of it an' that's all that matters at this point. No freak'n help at all from nobody. The two wheelbarrow loads of dirt are still sit'n in the back yard. The flowers "yo mama" was gonna plant is still at the nursery. The toys the grankids was gonna bring for the yard is still in toy boxes at home.

Since my last report on my back issues, my back has been do'n super good. Yup, no pains is super good. But I do have this one little spot that flares up ever once in a while. Could be I'm do'n much more than I should think'n I'm all fix up when I really ain't all fix up. You know what I'm talk'n bout.

Breath'n. Now breath'n is a issue I cain't do nuttin about. All these puffer thingys make a huge difference, but I'm still on a downhill trend. Get out of breath in nuttin flat. Got to go sit me down for a spell.

I'm still think'n I don't need this dad gum oxygen mak'n machine. It makes no difference in how I feel....not that it's supposed to. Ya see, they was tell'n me I quit breath'n at night an' my oxygen goes low. Well I check my oxygen levels at night when I wake up for a leg cramp or something like that. It's never been under 95% or what ever that number is. My next appointment I'm gonna have me a looksee at the reports from that overnight test thingy I wore.

Lost another 5 freak'n much needed pounds. "Ya gotta eat Billy Bob". Most days when I'm busy do'n stuff, I don't eat no breakfast....well I never eat no breakfast. For lunch I may wrap me up a cold hot dog in a slice of bread an' call it a meal. Many of my suppers are a peanutbutter jelly sammich dunked in a cup of milk. When I do decide to cook a meal, I get all the stuff my body needs, but that also ain't very offen. Gonna make me a daily high calorie menu an' see how that works out. "Walmart, I need to go to Walmart an' buy me some high calorie stuff".

Had me a couple three campfires burn'n up old scrap wood from the shop. One lasted up to 2am on one beautiful night. Ha ha, I runned out of wood. Well I really didn't run out of wood. We got a bunch of old oak an' pine from the two trees what died a sudden death. The oak won't produce no flames an' the pine is still green. The dead limbs off the pine burn pretty dad gum good though. I love campfires.

I thought I had some pics of my other projects, but I don't.
To gain more room in the lawnmower shed, I builded some shelves.

"HIL Harry, use the shelves, not the ground".

Have ya ever see a plastic shed? This sucker is all plastic. But the doors are real.

Billy Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10549232524429115454noreply@blogger.com28tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169314107796334970.post-21111490343785879562016-10-01T21:43:00.003-05:002016-10-01T21:49:14.087-05:00Two weeks of blissful living....My God, I'm still alive.

Yeah I know, I have problems too an' just don't feel up to mak'n a blog post. I didn't realize it's been so long, but I did know it's been a while.

So Ok, here's the deal.....I been busy as hell do'n projects. Since "yo mama" an' FIL Harry has been in Texas, I ain't had me nobody to talk to all day long. So I been do'n stuff around the place....fix'n broke stuff, yard maintenance, attempting to repair a John Deere lawnmower, writ'n shit down that I want to do.... Had me a list 17 projects long. Down to only 5 to go. I been a busy little feller.
Did I mention I mowed bout a acre or so of tall grass? Took me 2 days.....I mow slow an' articulate.
Freak'n weed eater ate my lunch.

Oh shit, I almost forget to tell ya. I made it to 75 year old. Let's see if'n I make it another year.

The gnome house is done minus gnomes an' landscaping.

"yo mama" an' HIL Harry returned from their Texas trip an' I talk her into no flower garden on the backside of the stump. Now I can do anything I like to the landscape.

DIL Mandi is a short little girl. Getting into the pop up camper is a 16 inches step for her. Getting into the pull behind camper, it's a 10 inches step for her. So's I builded her a dual purpose step for both campers.

The step is in 2 pieces....it comes apart. The black an' pink is for the pop up camper...8 inch step. The pink is for the pull behind....4 inch step. Robert gets the job of carpet on the top to suit her desires.

Another big 2 day project was to make repairs to a crookit lawnmower shed. There are no photos.
Broked off key in the deadbolt lock thingy. Fix that right up....2 hours to put back together an' install.
We now have a "happy" lawnmower shed.

Me an' Robert talked for a few days bout adding on to the shop/shed we builded a while back. Bout a year I'm think'n. Today I sended Robert to the Home Depot to pick up some lumber for the floor. Add on is 8 foots by 16 foots. To be used ONLY for storage an' Roberts work tools he throws on the benches in the shop.

This will make the building 16 x 22 feets.

Tomorrow afternoon Robert will be picking up lumber for the walls. This will give me something to work on while Robert is out slav'n his ass off making a gazillion dollars a day. I know how to build walls ya know.

Ok, went to the back doctor the other day....Tuesday, an' the doc says...."what can I do for ya"? I tell him he can kill some nerves, L3, L4, L5 an' 2 nerves in the SI. The next day I was sedated an' he kill all them nerves....radio frequency ablation. Damn I love RFA. I have only two pains. One where he made an injection an' the other is a slight pain at the top of my right hip.

The lung doctor had sended me a device to check my oxygen level while asleep. A week later a health care place bringed me a oxygen mak'n thingy for me to use at night. Apparently I quit breath'n at night or something like that.
The first 4 days I used this device, I was still wide awake at 4 an' 5am every night. So's last night, I didn't use oxygen an' I falled fast asleep before 2 am. An' I sleeped all the ways to 10am. Hmmmm, what's the deal with this????

I been eat'n half ways decent, but still feel like I'm los'n more weight. Well....there are some days I only eat one meal....or what ever ya want to call it. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Poor Leonard hurted his right foot...2 days ago. He's been limp'n an' cry'n..."daddy I hurt, pet me for a hour or so". Today he is get'n round much much better an' says..."I'll let ya know when you can pet me". Think'n he will be OK in a couple more days.

This is all I can think of right now. I been feel'n super good, got my back fix up again, been work'n on projects, gnome house is done.....damn, I'm happy. Oh yeah....it were colder 'an a Canadian blizzard last night....48 freez'n degrees.

Ok, I'm back. Sooner than I was expect'n too. I'm gonna rekon this post will be quite short after do'n mostly nuttin today.

But I had me a excuse to do nuttin. Ya see, last night was a total disaster. From skeeter bites, arthuritis in my toe, forward an' backards leg cramps, terrible hips pains....I didn't get me no sleep last night. Well, I did get me a few hours, something bout 4 to 6 sleep'n with my head lay'n on the desktop while sit'n in my chair. Not the best sleep'n position, but it worked better than the couch or the bed.

Today, a health care feller showed up at my door with a device to check my oxygen level while I'm sleep'n. Ha Ha....good luck with that. After I tell him my sleep'n habits, he assured me the device would know when I'm awake an' when I'm asleep....technology at it's best....or something like that. My awake oxygen levels are just fine....96-97.

I was sit'n outside on the deck sip'n up a cup an' try'n to come alive when the thought hit me...."let's go see how the gnome house front porch fits". This is the porch when I glue the decking on it. Forget to take a pick of the porch in place.

What the hell, it's backards....the left side is on the right side an' the right side is on the left. But, never fear, the old Billy Bob make it fit just fine. Nobody will ever know.

While I was back on the deck sip'n up a cup, I got to think'n...."let's go to the shop an build some winders". Bout 3 to 4 hours later....I got winders.

Hey, I see a "billy jeep". Winders come out almost perfect. Too <strike>good</strike> pretty for a gnome house. Curtains. We got to have curtains. Oh boy, Billy Bob gonna be a seamstress build'n curtains. The winders are 3 1/2 inches by 5 3/8 inches. Them gonna be some small curtains. Silk, I need some bright red silk panties.

That's all I was able to do today. Took me a nap out on the porch sit'n in my chair. Long bout 6:30 or so, here come grandson Tim with a big ol' bag full of Krystal burgers an' fries. We also fix the fence where the dogs are get'n out. They climb up on the dog house an' over the fence they go. Increased the height to bout 6 foots high. Climb that you sucker dogs....

Tomorrow if'n I feel up to it, I'm gonna go out to the tree stump an' install 3 winders. Then I'll sit there on the ground wait'n for somebody to help me get up off'n the ground. It's a chore get'n up by myself.

Ok, today is done, tomorrow is a new day. See ya laters....

Billy Bobhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/10549232524429115454noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3169314107796334970.post-51669240866567051742016-09-13T14:55:00.001-05:002016-09-13T19:46:49.421-05:00 UPDATE: couple more pics...."Gnome Home" progress'n little at a time.

Gonna have to try something different today. Since there were very few comments on the gnome condo, let's talk bout health issues.

First off, by freak'n back is kill'n me....an' it keeps my up most the night with dad gum "hurt'n" pains, leg cramps. backards leg cramps an' I gotta go pee. Aspirin seems to help, but it also thins my blood an' just scratch'n a skeeter bite on my arms, I get me a bruise. Seems like the bruises take a lot more time to go away than a few months ago. You would think a guy like me would wear arm protectors. Yeah I got me some, two pair, but I feel like a little sissy ever time I put 'em on. Then when I go out in public, people look at me like "who the hell beat the crap out of you"? I betcha a dollar them nasty skeeters cain't bite through arm protectors.

Breathing is get'n back to being a issue again. Not so much breathing, but shortness of breath walk'n out to the ngome house tree stump. An' bout a hunnert trips out to the shop to cut some sticks on the table saw. For all the people what been tell'n me I got to rinse my mouth after us'n them breathalyzer dohickys, I been do'n that. But mostly with coffee....an' I spits it out.

Just for Louie.....a freak'n cat.....Leonard.

Sorry but I couldn't get a pic of the "freak'n bark'n dogs", but I did get a pic of "lay freak'n dogs".

Now....back to the gnome house.
Yesterday I had to remove the add on kitchen stump from the hole I chain sawed an' chiseled for hours in the in ground stump. There's an old say'n, "ya got to build on a solid foundation". I was in such a hurry....an' all excitis bout install'n the kitchen that I plumb disregarded the old say'n. But I fix in in nuttin flat....bout 2 hours. Even put me some long screws in it to hold it in place. Screwed the roof in place an' shingled the last row. Looks good from my house.

This morn'n I made a chain saw cut for the door an' porch to fit in. Put a few screws in some loose bark that bout to hit the ground if'n I touch it. This tree stump is VERY rotten....fall'n apart. But I'll proceed the best I can. I have me a bucket full of confidence an' lots of free time.

Ok, I builded a porch framework. Cut an' chiseled the hole for the door to fit into. Yup it fits. Took right at a hour or so for a perfect fit.

Ok, I chain sawed hell out that tree stump an' now we got a straight roof.....see I tole you!!!

Before an' after. I hold cameras crookit....out of level.

You will also notice the porch framework....what fall slap apart. Super glue don't hold too good on this kind of wood.....treated deck decking. The last 2 hours or so have been spent reglue'n with that good ol' "monkey glue" (Gorilla Glue). Damn thing better not fall apart again....I be pissed if'n it do.
Three more winders go in the front....one on each side the door an' one centered in the second story. Damn, them gnomes is gonna love their house. Think'n call'n it "Gnome Home".

Looks like I need to do a angle change on the roof. Wonder if'n my electric chain saw will fix that.

Boy howdy when you're work'n on a project, blog'n take a second place. I been one busy sum-a-gun....build'n stuff.....sip'n a cup, do'n a little think'n an' a few cuss'n words when stuff don't fit.

Ha Ha, I been work'n on a gnome condo....with a great view of "yo mama's" driveway an' some freak'n trees. The condo will be fac'n the driveway an' not the road. A lot of sip'n up an' thought went into the direction it would face. If'n people want to see the gnome condo, they pull into the driveway.

Betcha a dollar none ya thought I were a rooofer did ya? I builded 3 rooofs. Didn't do it in 1 day neither. Man boy howdy, that were a job. NOTE: Silicone will NOT stick to cedar shingles. Shoot, I was think'n silicone would stick to anything. No fear, Billy Bob can fix most anything.

I can also build wood doors.

That ain't where the door will be located, I just wanted to show ya what it look like.

Winders, yup, I can build kitchen winders too....annnd, I can also install 'em in a tree stump

Took the 2 rooof pieces out to the stump in the yard. Holy cows, them suckers fit pretty dad gum good. Opppps, I forgit to take a photo.

Gnome condo construction on the porch deck is finished. Tomorrow will be way the hell out there in the yard tak'n a chain saw to the stump. The above photo of the add on kitchen will slide into a groove cut by chainsaw.....it's gonna be awesome. Maybe even a photo if'n I remember.
Granson Tim put me up a big ol' canopy over the stump so's I don't have to slave in the blaz'n sunshine. Still hot in Georgia....use'n electric fans outside to evaporate gallons of sweat.

Just a short note on my back issues. DAMN I hurt. Aspirin....aspirin....aspirin, in that order.
Ok, I'm gonna give a try on writ'n something. It's been rough folks, really rough.

I did make the family camp'n trip. There will be more on that later. It was rough.

Have ya ever had a doctor kill a bunch of your nerves an' then them suckers come back to full life an' says to ya...."Hey, do you remember me....can ya feel this"? This is what I been go'n through for the last few weeks. No, I didn't get me a appointment yet....but I will, I promise.

MsB, you been know'n me long enough to know when I jump into a project, I jump in with both my feets. Breath'n is still work'n. But I do have ups an' downs with that too.

Ha Ha Louie, that dad gum hurricana storm missed us by a couple hunnert mile. Well, maybe a hunnert is more like it. A few drops of rain, but that was it. Dog house roof was asbestos shingles left over from the shed.

em, I'm think'n there are some homeless gnomes camped out at Hobby Lobby. Almost certain I see some there. By the way em, the landscaping rose bushes was already there. I just had to do some trim'n on 'em.
This specially for you em.....this is my plan.

Caddie, yes I'm for hire, but NOT to build seven dawg houses.

Ok, I'm gonna start on the camp'n trip, but it's gonna take a while. First off, I feeled like crap the entire trip. To ease my pains, Robert loaded up the old office chair an' we took it along. I have such a wonderful son.
We loaded up Roberts pop up camper an' hit the road long bout 1pm Friday. Only a short drive to somewheres in norteast Ga. Was set'n up our camp at bout 4pm or so.

Others showed up till we had 5 filled camp sites.

Lay'n back do'n nuttin....restacat'n...eat'n...stuff like that.

Boy howdy let me tell ya. When a man over do's his abilities, he has a price to pay. And the old Billy Bob over do'ed it an' I been pay'n the price for the last 4 5 days. Have ya ever go to bed way more earlier than usual an' you're still wide awake at 3.....4 oclock in the morn'n? You know, your brain filled with so much weird stuff ya just can't go to sleep. Or ya falls a sleep only to be waked up bout 14 times throughout the night with backards leg cramps?

Ya see, I been intend'n to make a appointment with my back pain doctor, but my God, I just been too busy that I plumb forget. My nerves what was killed a while back, have come back to life. An' they says...."Do ya feel this Billy Bob"?
With that said, I now have a problem. The family camp'n trip is this weekend. Wll I do, but the last time my daughter Doris Lynn drived me to a doctor, she abandoned me an' my son Billy at the IHOP bout 30 miles from home. Anyhows, I need attention on my backside again.

I been do'n great on my breath'n. The one an' only piece of equipment in my body what don't repair itself, an' I got it. My lungs will never be good as new, so don't even suggest it. I rekon I'm stuck at 37% until things get worser. But by God, I can breath again. An' I feel soooo much better. Eat'n up a storm.
Swiched over to a new med this morn'n. Symbicort 160/4.5 for all my internet nurses out there. It has side effects.....I hate side effects. An' for all you "rinse yer mouth" people out there, the instructions highly stress...in bold black letters....RINSE YER MOUTH.

Family camp'n trip. Dang, I don't want to go. When my kids said "let's go camp'n" I was think'n a camp'n trip, not a dad gum super planned out high dollar trip to the orient with bookings to the Taj Mahaw with chefs an' servants at your bekon call. Menues are planned. Excursions are planned. Seating arrangements are planned. Games are planned. They are bring'n CD players with big speakers. Most conversation will be done by text messaging....I hate cell phones.
