Resolutions......yeah right

Ok, it's a new year, let's change some shit. Let's all make us some new rules an' some new stuff to live by this new year. You know what I'm talk'n bout....resolutions. I don't know who stated this stuff in the first place.....but I'm bet'n ya a dollar, in two weeks he was back to the same person he was the year before.

I don't do new year resolutions. I learned a long time ago that wait'n all year to make a change in your life, you wasted the whole year....wait'n. You had yerself 364 days to make changes......git the picture? Your life is perfect just the way it is. That was you.....be you, don't change.

When I think back, there was a year, I figgered out that I needed to make a change in my life. I lived in a "drunken" house. There were no goals for my future. All my life consisted of was, get out of bed, go beg for some food from the neighbor, git on my bicycle an' ride the day away. I was sixteen, my dad was a drunk. That was my life.

So I make me a resolution. "Git out of this "drunken" house an' find a happy place to live". There was plenty of roads I could take. None of 'em were wrong roads. When ya live at the end of a dead end street, any road you take is the right road. All roads go to the same place ya know. It's just that ya see different scenery on each road ya choose. A few extra twists an' turns here an' there, but ya still end up at the same place. No, let me take that back. I wonder where I would be today if'n I would'a turn left instead of turn'n right.

But, here we are the first day of 2015. A day of think'n....how to have a better life, set some goals....shit like that. Be it to lose a few extra pounds, take a different road, budget my expenses, eat healthier, go to the gym, walk a hunnert mile a day...that kind of stuff. The old Billy Bob thinks bout that kind of stuff too ya know. I could use some changes in my life. But there ain't a whole bunch I would want to change.

Now bout my blog. I've thought bout remov'n any links to "redneck". You know, git rid of this dad gum redneck talk I been do'n for the last hunnert years. It was fun while it lasted, but when I had to turn to some "serious" talk bout my health issues...."you ain't redneck no more". My blog suffered the consequences. I'm one of the few that my blog means sooo much to me.

I didn't make a post yesterday 'cause everthing was just like it was the day before. Went to Walmart an' done my shop'n without a incident with other shoppers. You know, cuss'n an' such. Got me some chili make'ns an' brewed me up a fine pot of "Billy Bob South Texas Chili". Whoa boy howdy, that one good pot of chili. What I like bout chili is, you can eat it straight out the pot without a chaser. You can eat it with crackers....but I like Doritos much better. You can mix ya up a big bowl of chili, Doritos an' but a quarter pound of cheddar an' some chop onions......man, you talk bout some good eat'n. Last but not least, chili spaghetti. That's bout 4 days worth right there. That's how long it last me anyhows.

Ok, I got a new desktop thingy to install (like shelf lining), an' a new cover for that chair to protect it from me an' Sadie Mae git'n it all dirty an' stuff. Walmart special Mainstay blanket. Fit's [this] close to perfect.
