Water dawg

Yesterday I were sit'n here, mind'n my own business, when I hears this big ol' truck go whizz'n by bout a hunnert mile a hour. I says..."that look like Barney's truck". Sure enough it were. He parked right cross the street from me bout a quarter mile.

Who says Sadie Mae is skeered of boats and water?
photo furnished thanks to Barney (OFM)

Holy cows, it were one beautiful this morn'n when I roll out of bed. Me and old Barney was sit out there on "da porch" enjoy'n ever minute of it. Then Barney went off fish'n somewheres and old Billy Bob an' Sadie went for a boat ride. She do so good in the "bubba boat". Barney didn't do so good fish'n. But he see one he says. It was "this" big.

Cord'n to my temp thingy, it's 107 degs out there. But I think it closer to 105...ya never can tell bout these Walmart temp thingys...could be right, but mostly not.

  1. That's a good picture of you and SM in the boat, I couldn't see real well as I was blinded by all of the white skin on those legs.

  2. A good ole boy from Arkansas won a bass boat in a raffle drawing. He brought it home and his wife looks at him and says, "What you gonna do with that? There ain't no water deep enough to float a boat within 50 miles of here." He says, "I won it and I'm a gonna keep it." His brother came over to visit several days later. He sees the wife and asks where his brother is. She says, "He's out there in his bass boat", pointing to the field behind the house. The brother heads out behind the house and sees his brother sitting in a bass boat with a fishing rod in his hand down in the middle of a big field. He yells out to him, "What are you doing?" His brother replies, "I'm fishin. What does it look like I'm a doing." His brother yells, "It's people like you that give people from Arkansas a bad name, makin everybody think we are stupid. If I could swim, I'd come out there and whip your ass!"

  5. After seeing that picture, I think that you need to mount another motor on the opposite side. Better handling and you can go about a hundred miles per hour or so.

  8. Really liked the picture of sadie mae pioliting boat, oh yes almost forgot you were in boat assisting her. looks like she is really enjoying the ride. Am glad you are enjoying Inks, beautiful area, still lots of water. This has been a tough year for Texas heat and drought wise, sad to see state looking this way. Glad Barney made it up to visit, you too will have great time together. Ya know those legs are pretty white, stay out in sun long long enough and that will change.
