A little 'splain'n to do

Oh wait, I didn't 'splain what I was talk'n bout when I say I might sell the 'billy jeep". Ya see, if'n I was to sell it to my wonderful son Robert for a $....or a $ an' a quarter, it would still be mine an' I wouldn't have to be in Texas for a state inspection. I know all bout Texas regulation...."if'n you're out of state, you can still git yer registration" without a inspection. Shoot, you didn't think I would sell my only means of mak'n a Walmart trip did ya?

Speak'n of a Walmart trip...."my God, I ain't got no groceries". Poured me a bowl full of cereal for supper last night. Fill it up with ice cold milk. Grab holt to a big ol' spoon an' take me a bite. "HOLY COWS, this milk is full of little curdle thingys an' tastes like crap". Ha, sour milk is NOT good for the system. Checks out some lunch meat. Damn, it's green. Checks out the head of lettuce. Gonna make me a lettuce an' mater sammich. Have ya ever take a bite out a chunk of lettuce what taste just like a dill pickle? Oh never mind....I eat me up a peanut butter sammich an' go to sleep.
I was gonna make a Walmart trip this morn'n. That didn't happen. Damn, I got to get feel'n better.

The damn Leonard cat has been scratch'n up a storm. Full of fleas again. I just give him a deflea bath the other day an' they back already. Fleas here in Georgia are everwhere. I flea combed out a hunnert fleas from that poor cat last night. You DO know there's a doo-hicky called a flea comb....right? He sleeped like a baby last night. Ha, he's back outside today collect'n more fleas. Gotta go pick me up some Advantage II for the poor baby. This other stuff just ain't work'n to keep them blood suck'n critters off him.

Robert won't be back from vacation for another couple days. "Yo mama" took off to visit her sister. It's just me an HIL Harry...an' 7 dogs an' 2 cats to hold down the fort. An' HIL Harry don't cook me nuttin to eat....damn!!! (HIL Harry stayed home in case I needed medical attention or something like that) I would say that makes him a pretty good man.

Ha...a cold front went through yesterday. Drop the temp right at 2 degs cooler. Big deal. Yes it's been hot here at Yo Mama's". Daily temps up to bout 95 degs ever day....with high humidity (106 feels like yesterday). With the high heat, I been watch'n the a/c an' check'n the voltage. So far so good, but still 106 volt in afternoons. #1 priority when Robert gets back. From where I plug in "da house", it's a hunnert feet to the main breaker panel. Ok, just went outside an'n check the wires. 50 feet of 8/3 an' 50 feet of 10/3....an' the plug at my end is hot. Not hot enough to catch afire though. It'n no wonder my a/c is scream'n "give me some electricity".

Ok, I get me a Mississippi river boat I got to put back together. Maybe this even'n I'll fill up the kiddie pool an' see if'n it will still float....balance it out an' check how the remote control works. May have to lower the drive wheel further into the water after I added a half inch to the hull. Don't no body but me like remote control boats???

Hope I find something for tomorrow to write about.

Oh wait, I forgot.....bout my blog. My thoughts bout drop'n my blog ain't got nuttin to do with you. It's all ME. I didn't start this blog to do nuttin but complain bout my health an' that's bout all it is any more. I don't like that....an' I know most of you don't like it neither. It gets old. But, if'n I do ever decide to quit the blog'n, don't fear, the blog will still be here.

More trash from the old Billy Bob

There have been many times in my life that I didn't know what road to take. One my favorite say'ns is "every road goes to the same place". Well, some them roads are washboard roads, full of little bumps, blind turns, up an' down hills an' a gazillion big ol' potholes. But when you reach the destination, at the crossroads, there's that other road you could have took. I'm at that crossroad this morn'n. Which road do I take?

Many of my blog readers have left me 'cause I don't write all the funny stuff no more. This blog has been a very important part of my life. To drop it would be the same as hav'n to hang up my fish'n poles an' my golf ball swak'n clubs. Both of which has been my "bread an' butter" for many many years. Both the fish'n poles an' the golf'n clubs are still stowed in the "billy jeep" just in case, in hopes I will again be able to use them. Now where the hell is my tackle boxes an' my damn golf balls?  The "bubba boat" has been stowed in a compartment under "da house".....just in case ya know.

Those 3 items was my life. Oh, I still have my boat building hobbies I can rely on to keep me go'n.....but damn!! There ain't nuttin like blow'n up a "bubba boat", grab'n holt to a fish'n pole an' reel'n in a 14 pounds bass fish from some great big ol' lake. Or get'n up early, grab'n holt to a golf bag full of golf clubs an' go swak a few. It's been a while in both cases. I dearly miss that part of my life.

With only a few more days for my doctor appointment to check out where all my energy an' "git up an' go" went, I find myself in a depressed mood. They ain't gonna find out in one day an' I ain't got a whole bunch of days left for them to poke an' probe to their hearts content. Winter is just around the corner an' you know what that means.....the old Billy Bob don't do cold.

Now I do have me some options. I can sell the "billy jeep" so's I don't have to be in Texas for a state safety inspection in January. That would make me the owner of only one Texas registered vehicle, "Sally da house", that would require a trip to Texas (for safety inspection) some time before September next year. This is the option I been think'n bout. Can I endure a winter in Georgia?
Damn health issues sure do mess up a person's life.

Speak'n of Texas.....I love Texas. But....Texas DMV sucks. Bastards!! Then on top that, my Texas driver license expires next year....damn.

Man boy howdy, you wouldn't believe how big Leonard is get'n. He ain't no full blown cat yet, but he's well on his way. Him an' Sadie Mae is get'n along just fine....unless he trys to steal Sadie Mae's chair. Or jumps in the middle her back want'n to "rassle". Or sticks his nose in Sadie Mae's eat'n dish while she's gobbl'n up some scramble eggs. Shoot, maybe they AIN'T get'n along.

This new computer is do'n just fine for what I use it for. Just the other night I took the screen part outside an' got online. It's a touch screen, so no keyboard was needed. How bout them apples? Oh wait, you cain't type without the keyboard. I get a free upgrade to Windows 10 sometime in the next few days. ANYthing is better than this damn Window 8.1.

I ate me up a mater off'n my mater plants yesterday. The damn thing sure was little for a "big boy" mater. The skin was tuff, but it tasted just like a home growed mater. Well, kind of sorta. I got what I was look'n for from these plants....watch 'em grow. You do know that Walmart sells big ol' maters don't ya? Both mater plants are full of little green maters.

Ok, that's it for another day. Sorry I ain't got nuttin else to write about, but "that's life".

Yesterday was better than the day before an' today is better than yesterday

As of two days ago, the old Billy Bob is alive again. Well, kind of sorta.

After I made my last post a couple days ago, I began to feel much better. But not better enough to make the trip to Walmart. The swelling in my feet has subsided back to normal look'n feet. I been drink'n that awful tast'n stuff called water an' been prop'n my feet up as I sit an' ponder "what ya gonna do now Billy Bob"? My eat'n abilities have improved to "My God, I'm starv'n". I think I'm gonna live!!! Back issues have NOT improved. Well they do if'n I take me up a couple them aspirin pills or a couple them Tylenol III's.

After my last attempt to sleep in the bed, with leg cramps, I said I would never ever sleep in that thing again. After two uncomfortable nights in the recliner, I say "what the hell?", I climb in the bed....two times. Not the first sign of a leg cramp. But....holy cows, it's that crookit old man again. "Aspirin please"!!!

I ain't hardly done nuttin in bout a week. Well, that changed yesterday. I did a bunch of rewiring in the Mississippi river boat. Batteries was moved from the second deck to the lower deck for center of gravity purposes. Ain't no way this sucker gonna turn upside down no more. Batteries was charged an' tests were performed. Yeeee Ha.....it works. A kiddie pool water test will be performed before I stick the boat in the lake. Fingers crossed.

Yesterday afternoon it was very very hot outside....."Stay in "da house" advisory by weather forecasters". It was a mite warm in "da house" also....84 degs. My a/c start make these weird sounds..."errrr, errrrrr, ERRRRR". Oh Oh, I turn off the t-stat an' break out my trusty volt meter. Low voltage....106.7 volts. How comes the voltage is low? Well, it's like this, my wonderful son had run some conduit for electric service to "Sally da house". That conduit ain't got no wires in it. I'm hooked up to a long ass electric cord what ain't big enough to handle the load when the a/c is run'n....(10/3 w/ ground....115 volt). Plans two months ago was to install some #8 wires in that conduit an' hook up a 50 amp plug (230) volts.  Good for 40 amps with very little voltage drop. "Sally da house" has a 50 amp 230 volt plug. I suppose "daddy" has to go buy up some wires before I burn up a perfectly good a/c with low voltage.

Oh Oh, I falled asleep while I was writ'n this. Ya see, I got up at 5am after bout 4 hours sleep an' I was still sleepy when I started this. Now I'm all grumpy like.
"Don't wake up papaw. He's grumpy when he wakes up".

Damn this sucks.....

Hey!!! The old Billy Bob is gonna say something this morn'n.

*wait'n patiently*
"Ok Billy Bob, whatcha gonna say"?

*think'n*
Hell, I don't know.

I've quit writ'n stories 'cause I cain't bring myself to think bout the past these days. All I can think bout is 'today' an' "what the hell ya gonna do tomorrow"?

I got many choices I could make bout tomorrow...an' a few that have to be made. At this point, I am wrapped up in doctor appointments for the next few months. I got stuff to check out ya know. But, I'm think'n I don't have a few months before the cold ass winter sets in again. I don't want to be "stuck in Georgia" when this happens. I also dread be'n "stuck in south Texas"......with no help.

Some of my fondest memories is when I would sit around at night an' get me a wild hair to go somewheres. The next morn'n I was hook'n up....go'n down the road a hunnert mile a hour. As I age an' have all these issues hold'n me down, I don't do that no more. This is not what I had planned for the rest my life. Shoot, I was think'n, when I reach 89 year old, I might just sell my golf'n clubs an' sit back for a while. Or restring my fish'n poles an' go catch me up a 14 pounds bass fish. But it kind of looks like I ain't gonna quite see that 89 year old birthday. Not with the way things are right now anyhows. It kind of caught up with me way before I was ready.

I'm tell'n ya right now, this damn cat has got to change his ways. Don't get me wrong, I like the hell out this cat, but shoot...."git yer nose out of mine Leonard". Just like last night, I was beg'n for a good nights sleep....here come the cat. Stick'n his face in mine....nose to nose. Then he knocks stuff on the floor....BaBooom....wakes me up with a holler "damn cat". Then he wants food. It's 3:30 in the morn'n an' I'm feed'n a damn cat. Speak'n of feed'n a cat, I've had to ration Leonard's food consumption. Ain't gonna be no "fat cats" in "my" house. Know what I'm talk'n bout?

Sadie Mae's last vet visit, in my book, was a flop. Vet doctor say she may not get no better than she is now. One ear hang down. One eye don't close an' she slobber out her lip. But she's a very happy dog. She has lost some of her big belly an' on occasion, she will play with Leonard. Most times, it's "leave me be Leonard...ya damn cat". Time will tell.

Ok, I need to make me a trip to Walmart. I'm almost slap out of coffee, I ain't got no sugar an' I ain't got nuttin to eat. I also got to make a trip to Home Depot to pick up some 1 x sticks. I got a couple doors to build for "da shed" ya know. But that ain't gonna happen today. As long as my feet are swelled up an' hurt like hell, I ain't go'n nowheres (on the long list of things to check out at the doctors.....one more week). Been like this for bout a week now. Swell'n down in the morn'n, swell dur'n the day. I been flush'n my systems with as much water as I can drink for the last couple days. Don't seem to help. Damn I don't like water. Have ya ever pee every hour on the hour?

Ok, I'm gonna leave it at what I just said. Maybe things will get better in the next couple days an' I can do something to write about. In the mean time, I'm still here.

Nuttin excit'n, just a normal Billy Bob day

Another boring post for today. I ain't done a thing.

I'm find'n it much easier to not make a daily post like I used to do. With health issues an' not be'n able to do nuttin excit'n, why write?

A doctor appointment has been made to check out why I have no energy an' find out bout these swolled up feet. My own prognosis on the energy thing is that I need to eat foods with more nutrients an' a much higher fat content. The old Billy Bob has got to gain back some the weight he lost. More on that after I make me a tip to Walmart. Buy me some donuts.

News on "da shed". Me an' Robert made us a decision on the roofing materials. A metal roof will not be installed. The roof has been plywooded an' covered with 30# felt. Shingles will be installed at a later date. Two 36 inch doors are yet to be fabricated an' installed. This will be a easy job for the old Billy Bob while Robert is off on a week vacation...at the beaches in Florida.

Speak'n of beaches, does anybody remember back in the late 80's an' early 90's when $$$$$$$ (hunnert dollar bills) was wash'n up on the beaches in south Texas? I'm think'n drug money tossed overboard. Anyhows, I only fount me bout 2 of them hunnert dollar bills, but I fount me right bout $1500 to $2000 in $1, $5, $10 an' $20 dollar bills. A few $50's. My best day was right bout $400. Ha, anybody wanna go to the beach with Billy bob? Do ya remember the triple motor high speed DEA cigar/cigarette boats? Something like 1200 horsepower an' go bout 80 knots. That's haul'n.

Holy crap, I been feed'n this damn cat too much. He's just bout doubled in size But I think he's gonna be a smaller cat than my last 2......both weighed in at a whopp'n 11 1/2 to 12 pounds. I been hold'n my stress level with this cat, but I've call him "damn cat" on numerous occasions. Damn cat!!! Hmmmm. wonder what he gonna do when I crank up "Sally da house" an' pull out in the street. Maybe I should train him to "ride" in the "billy jeep" first.

Flea infestations are still a problem at "yo mama's". I give Sadie Mae an' the cat a Dawn bath bout 2 times a week an' they get fleas on their first trip to the yard. Both have flea stuff on them. Will switch the cat to Advantage II in bout 2 more weeks. Bomb "da house" too.

Ok, I have no important news to tell, so I rekon I'll shut down for the day. Sure do wished I could go play me a round of golf ball swak'n.

Construction go'n fine

Due to the fack that I don't feel worth a shit today, I will attempt to write something. I assumed yesterday's photos would draw me some attention......I was wrong....dag nab it.

Construction of "da shed" is com'n along just fine, although Robert is do'n most the work. We are down to get'n ready to install a roof. Trusses are up.

See what I was tole you?

In the lifting of the first wall, me an' Robert, I seem to have created a hernia. At least that's what I hope it is an' not something more drastic.
"Billy Bob, 73 years old handicapped men do NOT lift walls....Sheesh, think".

On top of that, I again have swolled up feet. An attempt to sleep in my bed last night, in hopes of reliev'n the swell'n, proved a failure. Had them damn leg cramps 30 minutes after hit'n the sack. Added extra elevation to the foot rest thingy on the recliner an' went to sleep. No leg cramps. Do this mean I can remove the bed from "da house" an' throw it in the dumpster?

Now, bout this damn cat. It seems he don't like his name....Leonard. He completely ignores it. But I say "kitty kitty" an' here he comes a run'n. Want'n food of course. Or to chew on me....or Sadie Mae. So, Leonard is no longer the damn cat's name. Well, maybe. Back to square 1.....how bout plain ol' "Cat"?
A fix'n job, neutering, an' two shots is gonna cost $165. I'm think'n that's a bit high for a "damn cat".
Sadie Mae: "I tole you Leonard, LEAVE  ME  BE".
Leonard: I'm sorry Sadie, but I love you sooo much".
Sorry for the photo quality. Damn, I need to fix my pocket camera.

The slide out project is almost complete. Only a couple minor adjustments an' it's done. Oh wait, the lower wiper gasket has to be purchased an' installed. A fine job was done with all the repairs an' adjustments. Hope the damn thing works!!!

New computer....sill won't update.....what the hell???

Slide out....more repairs...damn cat

Even though the slide out has been reinstalled, we have some minor issues with adjustments. Like..."WHAT THE HELL"??? Ya see, when we make one adjustment, it throws off another adjustment. But...we get'n close. Shoot, after work'n on this thing, I'll be a expert in nuttin flat.

Ok, my freak'n Toshiba laptop has issues. Nuttin on the left side of the keyboard works worth a crap. Foun't 3 more keys that fail to operate. "So what ya gonna do Billy Bob"? Well I rekon I'll run on down to Best Buy an' pick me up another computer.
Fast foward.....they don't got no 17 inch laptops....period. Well wait a minute, they did have one. With a price tag on it so high, I probly could hack into the US Government secure computer systems.

I fount me a computer. Not a laptop. It's just what ya see in the photo...a computer built into a screen, a wireless keyboard...what I don't like an' a wireless mouse. I miss hell out of a touchpad.
Now, if'n I want to take the Dell computer for a ride in the "billy jeep", it has a battery. How long it lasts I don't know. Ha, almost just like a laptop.

Damn I wish I could breath. Just a walk up "yo mama's" back steps, I got to sit down an' catch my breath. That sucks. Back issues ain't been too bad for the last few days.

For Louie....the carpet has been removed. Walnut flooring has been installed. WWell most of it. Got to wait on a trip to Home Depot for some oak trim. After finishing touches, I'll post a pic of the completed job. For those that have not know'n what me an' Louie is talk'n bout, the carpeted floor under the desktop.

************************************************************************
Ok....I'm back.
Holy cows, me an' Robert been work'n on the slide out all afternoon. While do'n all that adjust'n an' it still weren't right, we start check'n stuff. Well I want you lookie here, the damn slide our floor is loose from the slide out wall. Chincy ass method of construct'n a slide out if'n ya ask me. Me an' Robert is fix'n it. Kind of sorta a redneck repair, but it will work. Photos after the Monkey glue drys....(glued an' bolted).

I ain't mentioned this damn cat in a few days. Boy howdy he sure is grow'n...an' fiesty as hell. My kind of cat.
Now let me tell ya, this cat, Leonard, he loves his daddy. I went to bed, in the bed, the other night an' Leonard says..."you ain't go'n to sleep quite yet". He wants pet'n time. He climbs up on my chest an' sticks his nose in my mouth, in my nose an' in my eyes.....under my chin. "Pet me" he says. I throws him off the bed. *for all the PEPA people, I gently set him on the floor* He's right back up there, nose to nose.

Then there's one of Roberts dogs. A weird poodle of some kind. Him (Charlie) an' Leonard go fist to cuffs every night....chase each other all over the yard. Tumble all over the "da deck" an' the green grassy yard. These two are "scrap'n" buddies.

Ok, I'm back again. Damn, I ain't got no time for nuttin. Company, more company, big ol' home brewed salad with chunks of chicken....more company. See ya all the next trip.

Slide out is in

As we age, our bodies take on a new destination in life.....fall slap apart. Our minds begin to shut down of the things we have learned along the way. Old age....cherish it.

Well shoot, we been so dad gum busy, there was no time to make a blog post. This morn'n, I decided the old Billy Bob was gonna take some time off. Lay back an' rela* (what the hell, my * don't work) a bit.

As the slide out was sit'n outside on the big ol' bench thingy awaiting installation back into "da house", it rained. Some rain made it's way under the tarp an' wetted the desktop an' floor. The computer was sit'n on the desktop....closed. But somehows before it was moved...it was dampened with droplets of water. Across 1/2 the screen is a weird look'n line bout 1/2 inch wide. I can still see the entire screen, so I'm think'n I can live with that. But the loss of the letter *, this could prove to be a problem. I guess I just won't use the word "rela*" no more. Or I could change the spell'n...."relacks". No further damage was done.
Oh wait, yes there was. The left CTRL key an' the TAB key don't work neither. Grrrrrrrr.

Then yesterday, while it was still a bit cool outside, we began reinstalling the slide out. Piece of freak'n cake.

Then we attempted to adjust the slide out so the sealing gaskets would all make good contact. Two freak'n hours later an' we still ain't got it right. Frustration kicked in....we will adjust another day. Did I mention we was frustrated???

Tools an' related items was removed from inside "da house". Ha, it looks like "Sally" again. Much clean'n yet to be tackled.

I been think'n bout tell'n ya bout a freak'n monkey, "Monk Monk", I used to have. In the near future I'll try to write that story....again....but not today. But be forewarned, don't ever get a monkey for a pet.

Saturday, July 11, 2015

Ha Ha, Billy Bob gots a new floor.

Well shoot, I knowed I shouldn't have work so freak'n hard in one day......lookie here.

See there, the old Billy Bob don't mess round when there's a job to do. Shoot I was sooo excitis to get the brand spank'n new vinyl installed, I forgot to take a pic of the walnut flooring I installed under the vinyl. Had to pull Robert off the truss building too assist me in the installation of the vinyl flooring. Inside is complete with the slide out rollers screwed to the floor. Now I need to find me a clean'n woman to do a number. I love the new flooring......Yeeee haa!

The start of yesterday, my lower back hurted something fierce. Took me up some them pain reliev'n aspirins, got on the floor an' did some work. "Yo Mama" come down to check out progress an' bringed me a big ol' ice pack. That helped bout a ton or so.

Sleeped in the office chair for the last two nights. Got me some sleep....none them damn backard leg cramps like I get from the bed. This is one comfortable office chair that's for sure. But...who the hell wants to sleep in a office chair the rest their life?

4pm.....Holy cows, I done forget to finish this stuff. Went to work on the floor rollers an' done forgit what I was do'n....sheesh!!!

The aluminum angle "iron" on the end of the slide out has been removed, siliconed an' reinstalled. Ain't no water gonna git in there. Me an' Robert, we know some shit.

Ok, that's it. See ya next trip.

Thursday, July 9, 2015

Success, success, success.....Yeee Ha!!!

Ok, here we go again....a day or so late, but what the hell? I'll tr to address everbody's concerns an' observations as quickly as I can.

Cats borned under "Sally da house" was borned nowheres close to where the ammonia smell was. Scratch that idea.

Slide outs can definitely be a problem....if you don't take care of them. Or if you allow water in enter the living quarters an' ya just shrug it off as "spill't milk". This is 2015, slide out technology has come a long way. Yes I would recommend slide outs. The extra space is like a dance floor. Git down!!!

Ha....you thought I was joke'n didn't ya? This is bout 4 hours work for Robert an' the expert supervision of his daddy, the old billy Bob. This was 2 days ago. Today we started building the roof trusses. One set of patterns is cut an' laid out.

Further inspection of the water leak issue, we replace a old piece of sub flooring what supports the slide out motor assembly. All bad walmut flooring has been removed an' some of it was used for a camp fire last night. New flooring is ready to be installed.
This pic shows where water came in. Yet to be repaired. Pics on the repair later.

A walnut campfire....Yeee Ha!!!!

Hip pains have been terrible. Cain't even sleep in my bed. Get leg cramps ever time I do. Recliner does a pretty good job, but never over 6 hours sleep a night....an' no naps. I need sleep. An' lots of it.

Hot weather is back. Well it ain't at night. 68 degs last night. 94 or 95 today.....in da shade. High humidity.

Oh....I forgot to tell ya. I got me some new vinyl for the kitchen an' liv'n room. I think you gonna like it. Me an' Robert cut it to fit out on the shed deck, rolled it up an' wait'n for the installation of the walnut flooring. Then tackle the water leak problem....my fault for get'n in a big hurry a couple years ago. "Silicone Billy Bob, that's what God invented silicone for....seal water leaks". Sheesh!!!

Ok, that's all I got for today. We had 4 straight days of success. Ya cain't beat that wit a stik.

Go'n good.....I'm happy

Ok, let's see what we can figger out this morn'n. I got me some wonderful news....the slide out is sit'n out in the yard on the platform. In other words, the slide out is NOT inside "Sally da house" no more.
Me an' Robert jumped on the project yesterday afternoon. In less than 2 hours, we was done. Strung a "huge" Walmart special tarp over the top of "da house"nan' covering the slide out. Ain't no rain gonna git in my house.

Inspection of the bad flooring, ain't no water come in from the outside. Well maybe not. A thorough inspection will be done an' a "fix" to anything we find. Then the new flooring will be installed (2 1/2' x 10'). Still no indication of where the ammonia smell is com'n from.
Inspection of the slide out gaskets reveal "brand spank'n new" condition.

My freak'n camera has done bite the dust. The lens thingy won't come out. Error, error, error. My bigger camera will be broke out, cleaned an' hope the sucker still works. Until then....no pics.
 Ha...it worked.

I was surprised I was able to assist Robert with the slide out removal. Ya see, the night before I didn't get but 3 hours sleep. Don't ask me, I don't know. While help'n Robert, I noticed a lower back pain (bout a 2) in the L5 S1 area. Ok, fast foward...I sleeped in the bed last night. Got me bout 6 hours sleep. Waked up with lower back pains....bended over.

This cat (Leonard) is slap ass wild. I been see plenty little kittens do their thing, but Leonard is something else. When he get winded up, which is quite often, he run a hunnert mile a hour....an' tackle the other dogs. Roll on the ground with 'em. Chase the dogs all over the yard. Then he mess with poor ol' Sadie Mae. She don't do that shit....an' she let Leonard know she don't kike that kind of stuff. But they get'n along....kind of sorta. Ya got to remember, Sadie Mae is sit on the edge of 12 year old.

Sadie Mae's vet visit come out pretty good. Seems she has a eat infection or something like that. No "big dog" injuries. On antibiotics for the next 10 days. An' a swallerable flea pill. She's happy this morn'n.....an' for the last 2 days.

The first flea spray'n of the yards seem to have helped. Leonard has less fleas...what are combed out every night an' kill them little blood suckers. One more week, he can have his second dose of flea stuff. Fingers crossed no more fleas.

Robert wants/needs a storage shed. His wonderful daddy is gonna build him one. *dad gum camera* It's gonna be 16 feets wide an' 14 feets deep with "Billy Bob" constructed double 36" doors. I know some shit bout build'n doors. Yes, Robert get's to help his daddy.

Ok, I got a camera to clean. Maybe come back an' add some photos.

Beat up again....damn!!!

It just don't pay to have a wonderful day. Thank you for the "beat up Billy Bob".

But anyhows, here I am again. Me, Sadie Mae an' that "damn cat" Leonard. All of us in fine shape an' enjoy'n life.

Now yesterday was a special day. Not 'cause it was the 4th of July, but 'cause I had me bout 14 hours of complete pain free liv'n. Then that dad gum hip let me know it was still there.

But wait a minute, let's back up a couple days. Me an' Robert got us some 2x4, 2x6 an' 4x4 lumber from Home Depot an' builded a platform to roll the slide out onto. All the legs are cut to the correct height for a level platform on unlevel ground. Not one cuss'n word was said.

Then we removed the vinyl flooring in the front half of "Sally da house". Not a scratch mark or a tear. All rolled up an' stowed in a safe place. It can be reinstalled. But guess what I fount at another Home Depot. New vinyl flooring....an' I like it pretty dad gum good. A little change ain't never hurt nobody.

The hardwood flooring is now exposed. Ain't near as bad as what I was expect'n. One short strip was cut out to expose the plywood sub floor below. Yeee Haa, not a rot spot nowheres. Only rotted wood is the walnut hard wood. *sniff sniff* "Hey daddy, this smells like ammonia". Yup it does.

Under my sink, I carry a gallon jug of ammonia. For hobby purposes an' for cleaning. Now, could this jug of ammonia turn over an' spill onto the slide out floor an' seep through to the main floor? I use ammonia to soften wood for my hobby projects....what will it do to a hardwood floor? The jug seems to be bout a quart or so lower than I remember. Any chemical experts out there????

We had us one more severe rain come down. Checked for water leaks again. Not one freak'n drop of water nowheres.

Robert throws some charcoal in the big smoker grill. Fires it up an' throws some big ass pork ribs on the grate. I sticks my hand over the grate. One half second I got to remove it....too freak'n hot. He had already burned the rub he had applied. Have ya ever tasted burned slap up bbq rub? I instructed Robert on the finer arts of correct grill'n temps....3 seconds by hand or 325 degs. I then instructed him on the finer arts of turn'n the ribs every 15 minutes an' apply'n bbq sause. The second grill is now up to temp with the coals removed from the smoker. Another chunk of ribs are placed on the grate. Look'n good.

A hour later, with my intense supervision, Robert checks meat temp.....168 degs, perfect. The ears of corn had been done forgot about. They was also forgot to be placed in cold water before grill'n. Steam ya know.
Ribs are placed in the little grill an' temp bringed down to 200 degs....holding temp to keep warm while the corn cooks for 30 minutes. All came out simply perfect. Juices run slap out yer mouth. I take part credit for that.

We ate 4th of July dinner up at "Yo Mama's" house. Along with the ribs an' ears of corn, we had grilled chicken, tater salad, pinto beans, mac an' cheese, sliced maters an' fresh off the stove homemade tortillas. For desert, a big ol' pineapple upside down cake. I ate way way too much. But I survived.

Me, Sadie Mae an' Leonard walked round the yard. I got to go sit down. Dream bout the best meal I had all year.

This morn'n I have a slight pain in that dad gum hip. Don't feel a thing in my lower back. Pain level in hip, right bout a 2 or up to a low 4. Just enough to swaller me a Tylenol III.

Bout 2 more days of this wonderful cool weather an' we gonna be back into the lower 90's.

Good news/bad news

Ok, I'm gonna make me a feeble attempt to write something you may be interested in. Lately that's been a real chore at my house.

First off I rekon I can tell ya bout the procedure I had yesterday. Only bout a hour or so at the doc's office.
I was sedated an' the doc, he come in an' stabs me 3 injections in my lumbar to relieve my lower back pains. This morn'n, I'm think'n it's work'n just fine. I figger the best indicator to test the pain relief would be to stand in front the kitchen sink an' warsh up some dishes. No need to take a break ever 5 minutes would mean it works.

The doc was in hopes that the lumbar nerve block would take care of the hip pains. I was hop'n it would too. Well....it didn't. Not even close. But, right now, that's the only pains I got back there.

For insurance purposes, I have to have the "kill them nerves" radiofrequency ablation done. I'm all for that even though it don't last any longer than the injections. This will be performed August 13th. After that, the nice doctor will attempt to find the cause on my hip pains. Does anybody see additional $$$$$$'s?

I painted the bottom of the river boat. Hot damn it looks good. Installed the brand spank'n new rudders an' hot damn....they gonna work. The "wheel" may have to be lowered 1/2 so's it will be far enough in the water to go a hunnert mile a hour.
Boat modifications have been put on hold due to other circumstances......"Houston, we have a problem".

Water has entered "da house". We have a rotting wood situation in the kitchen flooring. The slide out will have to be pulled to get to the rotting wood. Not really a big thing since we done that one time before. Now all me an' Robert got to do is find where water got to the flooring....between the plywood sub floor an' the finish Walnut floor.

A trip was made to Home Depot in another little town. Two boxes of Walnut flooring was purchased. In the mean time, we had us a severe rain storm this morn'n. A perfect time to check see where water is get'n in. Oh crap, everthing is slap dry as a bone. Not even a drop. Exposed plumbing was checked....not even a drop. *scratch'n my head*

While the slide out is sit'n outside on a bench, all the weather seals will be replaced. Whether they need it of not.

Bout them mater plants. They grow'n like weeds. Had to put the damn things in wire cages so's they will hold a hunnert pounds of maters.

Poor cat was covered from head to toe with a gazillion fleas. Thanks to a reader that seldom comments, I Googled vinegar an' water as a flea "git off my cat" treatment. Ha, it works....or I suppose it does. Robert sprayed the yard, but it's gonna take a second treatment. After that, I will apply one more of the generic Frontline doowachie thingamagigs to the cat....Leonard.

Ok, Sadie Mae got her ass whooped by one the BIG dogs. A hole in one ear an' bruising to her left front leg. She was in pain. Much better this morn'n....but still just lays around "do'n nuttin".

My stomach is back to good shape. That virus is slap gone. I can eat anything I want. In fact, yesterday even'n, I eat up enough for 2 people. Bed time I forget to take my meds....an' my Zantac. Right bout 4am I was waked up with half my supper in my throat....burn like hell. Took my Zantac an' in less than 20 minutes, I was good to go.

Ok, I got me a desktop to clean all the crap off of. My God, where all this shit come from? I would take a pic, but I'm too 'barrassed. Ain't never nobody treat a desktop like this.

My computer problems get worser every day. The slot I put the camera card in sometimes it works sometimes it don't. The mouse cursor goes all over the place any ol' time it wants to. Close the lid an' reopen, cursor is fine for a bit. Then.....Zooom, there it go again. Programs load slow. Grrrrrrr Windows 8.1.
