Automotive a/c stop leak

My God.....I ain't got nuttin to talk bout today. Here I are sit'n in front of a blank computer screen say'n "what the hell I do now"?

Test of the new blogger photo post thingy. Just like the old one.....exactly.

There ain't no use talk'n bout the new blogger thingy. Seems all the old folks that don't want change ain't gonna do it. So I rekon we ain't gonna see no more posts from 'em.....right? Change remind of the time I were a "brand name" cigarette smoker. I would have rather quit before I would change brands. You should see the crap I puff on now days. Little cigars...50% tobacco and 50% bermuda grass....or something like that. I don't like it (change) but it makes smoke. Same with beer. Who ever heard of chang'n beer brands in the middle of the stream? Car makes??? Oh hell no, I would never drive anything other than a insert brand here. That's the way we are....ain't gonna change.

Yesterday I got busy and pick up a whole gob of tools an' stuff and put them in their proper places. Finish??? Well hell no....you think I'm Superman or something? Then I got to think'n bout the a/c on "that jeep". In this day and time, ya gotta have a/c. A brand spank'n new compressor is gonna cost $210 dollar plus some ship'n charges. Although I don't like the idea of add'n additives to anything, I stuck a can of automotive a/c stop leak in there. What have I got to lose??? $25???....and another can of R-134A. If it will seal the leak, I'm ahead of the game. If not, I'm only out $35. Time will tell. Then there's that little water leak what is driv'n me up the wall. Leaks bout 1 to 2 quarts a month....or something like that. So I spends another 2 hour go'n over the system look'n for water. There ain't none.....but I know where it were last month.....right there on that hose thingy what I tighten up way tight. Thought I was gonna break the bolts.

There's also a new product on the market. Well I ain't never see it before, that why I says new. Ya put it in your transmission. Seals leaks (????) and improves every damn thing inside the transmission (???). Nerphew Joseph says it's the best stuff in the world (???) for a transmission to seal up any leaks (???), slip'n clutches (???) and improves shift (???). Wonder if I put some in "that jeep" what would happen. NOTE: "that jeep" jump up and down when ya floor board it from a dead stop. Make me think everything gonna be lay'n on the ground.

Ok....gonna go do something. If'n I gonna get out of here in a couple days, I gotta do something NOW.

  1. Trans X is like a tranny tune up in a can but I wouldn't expect miracles out of it, or any other additive.

If the Jeep is having a hissy fit when you get on it maybe the chain in the transfer case is slipping, if it has that kind of a transfer case. Or maybe it's just having a hissy fit because it's a damn Jeep.

I would never drive anything other than a insert brand here.

I don't apply to that statement, even though I'm a retired Ford master mechanic I currently own a Dodge Dakota.

  2. Wait, you said a while back that you're a retired A/C tech, so stop having brain farts and thinking a so called A/C stop leak will solve your problem.

Automotive A/C systems are not like commercial/home A/C units that are completely sealed, there is that little issue of the seal on the front of that compressor behind that clutch the belt is spinning.

But that doesn't mean you have to replace the whole compressor, just the ceramic seal, it comes in a replacement kit available at any decent parts house. And they may well loan or rent you the puller needed to remove the clutch.

I am not saying your information is not goоd, however what if you added something that grabbed folk's attention? I mean "Automotive a/c stop leak" is a little boring. You might peek at Yahoo's front page
and see hoω they create article titles to get vіeωers interestеd.
You might add a related vіdеo or a related pic
