Cyber spank'n

Years ago, and I do mean years, I was known to take a nip every once in a while or go down to the local pub and drink a few cold ones. The bar was where we all hanged out after work....usually on friday. It was our meet'em up place. Stories was told, probably all lies, plans were made. We was like family. A bunch of hoot'n an' holler'n rednecks is more like it. Wonder where they all at today? Did they accomplish their dreams? Did they live through the hard times? Did they succeed in life?

I've been quite open bout my past here on the blog, but there are many things in my past I don't talk bout. The hard times. Good times and funny experiences are easy to talk about, and these make for some good read'n....especially if'n ya get hurt, go to jail or fall down.....or break something. I been fortunate in the hurt and jail departments, but I been fall down many many times. Get back up and go on....right???

Yup, I been get back up and go on for many years, but damn it, it's get'n harder to get back up lately. To go on, I have to push myself. Some of ya, if'n you're still around read'n my nonsense, may remember how active I was just 3 years ago. Get'n up early, do'n something, mak'n stuff, projects......go'n somewheres. All I got to show for the last 3 years is memories and photos. And of course this blog.

So....what's happened to old Billy Bob? Is it just old age? Health issues? Tired? Or just plain ass lazy? I can attest to old age 'cause that happens to all of us. Just creeps up on us one day, week, month and a year at a time. Health issues, yeah I got some. Done wore my lungs slap out breath'n in salt air, dust storms, black powder and blaz'n campfires. Of course, I smoke too. Nasty little cigars made out of I don't know what. I worry that some day I'm gonna just fall over and not get back up. That what my damn "Dr. Fronkinstine" tell me anyhows. Something bout heart plumb'n don't last forever. I can guarantee that the old Billy Bob is tired. And tired turns into lazy. So I can blame all my short comings on all the above. Damn!!!

Seems my readers (followers) is giv'n old Billy Bob a cyber spank'n. It's human nature to ignore or refuse to talk to someone when a stranger enters the room shout'n obscenities and piss'n people off. As you know, Blogger has no means of blocking undesirables from comments. Recently this person of questionable moral character has toned his comments down and his comments are only deleted when he can't speak without the use of profanity. I do give him respect for his knowledge and ability to "make stuff".

Today I got to make that trip to Port Aransas to pick up my mail before I pull out of south Texas. As much as I hate to, I got to do it. I guess I could call it a "road test" for the dash air on "that jeep", but it's gonna take a couple weeks before I know if my freon leak is sealed. By the way, the leak is not on the compressor seal. It's on the front plate of the compressor...."O" ring leaking. Problem is, it's on the high pressure side of the system (250# plus).

Ok....got to head 'em up to the island. Laters.

  1. You are only as old as you feel, at least that is what they tell me. If that is true, some days I must be 102 and some very few days I am 45. Hope you start feeling young again.

    1. Yeah Dizzy, I heard that said before. But the one that really pisses me off is "you're not old".

  2. Billy Bob, Understand your frustration when someone latches onto your blog, and continually tries to impress everyone with their unlimited knowlege. We are all ignorant in some things, and if we are so proud we always have to go out of our way to impress others, iI think in fact we are pretty dumb. Anyone who has to continually resort to profanity must have limited ability to express themselves. Anyway really enjoy your blog, hope you get your zip and enthusiasm back. Wayne

    1. Anony.....yes I do get frustrated when I lose followers what have been with me for the last two three years or so. I hope everyone realizes there is nothing I can do to ban someone from making comments....not that I would, unless it was the last resort. We have all seen the disrespectful side of BBC, but lately we have seen he can be "a nice guy" and is a very smart man. Let's hope he will stay that way.

  3. BB, just want you to know that I never miss a single day of your blog. Yours and a few other blogs are just as necessary as my morning coffee. I don't comment much on blogs but just want you to know you make my day! Every day! I thank you for that.

    1. I'm with ya in the comment department. I also seldom comment, but that don't mean I don't read every single blog....and then some. My God....there goes another 2 hours.

  4. I hear ya on the "slow getting started" part! Lately I seem to have a bad case of that as well!

I guess that moving slow is better than not moving at all!

    1. I wouldn't mind just "slow to get started" if'n I could keep chugg'n along for the rest of the day. You know....not take a 30 minute break for every 15 minutes of chug.

  6. I'm getting slow in the startin' up department, as well as in the finishin' department. I also have been falling more than I should, my lungs are finding it harder to take in enough air, and I won't even try to think of what stage my heart is in. But I FEEL GREAT, and all I or anyone else can do is live until we die. You can still make folks laugh and appreciate life, so I think you're just terrific!
