More trash from the old Billy Bob

There have been many times in my life that I didn't know what road to take. One my favorite say'ns is "every road goes to the same place". Well, some them roads are washboard roads, full of little bumps, blind turns, up an' down hills an' a gazillion big ol' potholes. But when you reach the destination, at the crossroads, there's that other road you could have took. I'm at that crossroad this morn'n. Which road do I take?

Many of my blog readers have left me 'cause I don't write all the funny stuff no more. This blog has been a very important part of my life. To drop it would be the same as hav'n to hang up my fish'n poles an' my golf ball swak'n clubs. Both of which has been my "bread an' butter" for many many years. Both the fish'n poles an' the golf'n clubs are still stowed in the "billy jeep" just in case, in hopes I will again be able to use them. Now where the hell is my tackle boxes an' my damn golf balls?  The "bubba boat" has been stowed in a compartment under "da house".....just in case ya know.

Those 3 items was my life. Oh, I still have my boat building hobbies I can rely on to keep me go'n.....but damn!! There ain't nuttin like blow'n up a "bubba boat", grab'n holt to a fish'n pole an' reel'n in a 14 pounds bass fish from some great big ol' lake. Or get'n up early, grab'n holt to a golf bag full of golf clubs an' go swak a few. It's been a while in both cases. I dearly miss that part of my life.

With only a few more days for my doctor appointment to check out where all my energy an' "git up an' go" went, I find myself in a depressed mood. They ain't gonna find out in one day an' I ain't got a whole bunch of days left for them to poke an' probe to their hearts content. Winter is just around the corner an' you know what that means.....the old Billy Bob don't do cold.

Now I do have me some options. I can sell the "billy jeep" so's I don't have to be in Texas for a state safety inspection in January. That would make me the owner of only one Texas registered vehicle, "Sally da house", that would require a trip to Texas (for safety inspection) some time before September next year. This is the option I been think'n bout. Can I endure a winter in Georgia?
Damn health issues sure do mess up a person's life.

Speak'n of Texas.....I love Texas. But....Texas DMV sucks. Bastards!! Then on top that, my Texas driver license expires next year....damn.

Man boy howdy, you wouldn't believe how big Leonard is get'n. He ain't no full blown cat yet, but he's well on his way. Him an' Sadie Mae is get'n along just fine....unless he trys to steal Sadie Mae's chair. Or jumps in the middle her back want'n to "rassle". Or sticks his nose in Sadie Mae's eat'n dish while she's gobbl'n up some scramble eggs. Shoot, maybe they AIN'T get'n along.

This new computer is do'n just fine for what I use it for. Just the other night I took the screen part outside an' got online. It's a touch screen, so no keyboard was needed. How bout them apples? Oh wait, you cain't type without the keyboard. I get a free upgrade to Windows 10 sometime in the next few days. ANYthing is better than this damn Window 8.1.

I ate me up a mater off'n my mater plants yesterday. The damn thing sure was little for a "big boy" mater. The skin was tuff, but it tasted just like a home growed mater. Well, kind of sorta. I got what I was look'n for from these plants....watch 'em grow. You do know that Walmart sells big ol' maters don't ya? Both mater plants are full of little green maters.

Ok, that's it for another day. Sorry I ain't got nuttin else to write about, but "that's life".

  3. I got my inspection and license done early on my my motorhome because I was going to be on a trip. I didn't have any problem doing that. The State is always willing to take my money.

    1. Where do I start Louie. Yu touched sooo many bases today....you hit a home run.

I'll have to wait till Aug. 8th to upgrade to Win 10 'cause on my air card ain't got enough broadband left to make the download. You'll be the fist to know how it works out.

The Donald is do'n a lot of talk, but that's all it is....talk. He's pissed off the entire GOP an' has scared crap out the Dems. That's all I have to say bout that....Gump!

Bout sell'n the "billy jeep". I can put it in Roberts name an' it's still mine....with a Georgia tag. "Sally da house", I can't do that.

Did I say a word bout be'n "happy" spend'n a winter in Georgia? If I can get a few health issues looked into, that's better than be'n happy.

Ha ha Louie, you don't know what you're say'n when you say you will take care of me. It's a fine jester an' I absolutely appreciate it....but, have you ever change a diaper on a old man??? LOL....laugh Louie, that's funny.

  7. You don't have to get vehicles inspected until you return to Texas for something else; you can renew online. You do have to go back to get your driver's license if it needs a new picture or eye exam.

As to spending the winter in Georgia, it looks like health is going to keep me in Minnesota this winter. Want to trade?

  8. hi BB. the diaper can and would be changed for approx. $1 by one of the millions of illegal women that live right here in my rv park . there are lady's that clean your whole house for $4 or $5 an hour . so don't worry you can be in good hands with lots of help down here in south texas . a lot of illegals keep south of the second check point so there are many more here than sinton tx. okay LOL....laugh billy, that's funny .

  9. hi BB. about waiting to get enough broadband . you can do what i do and go to any free wifi place. down here in texas all the mc donalds , burger kings , dairy queens , library ,star bucks , carl's junior ,just about every hotel ,and this way you do not have to use up a big chunk of what it would take to down load a great big program like window's 10 .

  10. Actually, BB, I find your blog still a very interesting read. There are not many people who reach this stage of life that write about it with such intelligence and sensitivity. You may not know it, but you are a human of courage facing the things that we will encounter, if we have not already. You are not in the boat alone, sir.

  11. I read your blog everyday and am never disappointed so please keep on blogging.
It does get cold in GA but the pros are you are with family .I live in Fl and my kids live in TN anda n MD I use to go to Tn every month now I have severe anemia and have had 8 blood transfusions in the last 16 months 21 iron infusions and going for 7 more right now. Maybe you should have your iron levels checked? Don't sell the jeep you enjoy running the road in it. When you don't know what to do then do nothing. Good luck !

  13. Transfer the registration (and PO Box) to North Dakota. Or is it South Dakota. I forget. Heck, make it Nevada which is closer. Those places don't require inspections. You can change your driver's license at your leisure. I know a couple of those places will handle all the registration paperwork for you. If you can't find it online I can look it up for you. I know Bob Well's site tells how he does it in Pahrump, NV and the mail address he uses.

And, I'm here. I just don't always comment. Heck, you have many times the readership I have on a good day. 'Course, I don't worry about it. I know I'm boring. My blog is a barometer of my life. If I"m bored by my blog, I know I need to get moving.

  14. Well, Billy Bob, it seems like I look forward to reading your blog everyday that you take a notion to write. It's almost like I have become attached to you in some crazy sort of way. Following your trials and tribulations and hoping for good outcomes with all of your health issues. We all have health problems or probably will have so that's no big deal. Keep on keepin' on Billy Bob. I'm cheering for you! Max from Illinois.

  15. Hey Bill...
Your blog is a big part of my morning routine. If you quit, I'd have a very big hole to fill. Please don't; yours is one of the best!

    Keep with us, my friend!

  16. Methinks you need a new site counter as you got about ten readers or so for every commenter. Now some folks may only come here for comedy. That's their loss from shortsightedness. You're the real deal and no matter good day or bad, I find you thought provoking and often entertaining. Keep on with your shenanigans, BB, you are good for what ails us.
