Boy howdy let me tell ya, I were think'n I were in Alaska or some place like that.....it were dad gum cold this morn'n. Had my one little blanket all wrap round me, shiver'n like a skeered rabOk, it weren't cold enough for snow or to freeze to death, but 39 degs is cold, no matter how ya look at it. Now how comes the weather forecast thingy didn't tell me bout it. All it said was wind for the day and there ain't hardly a breeze out there.
This post is being made using Google Chrome. If'n ya remember, old Billy Bob was hav'n two posts in one the other day. Yesterdays post was made with Firefox....no two posts. But.....when the two post glitch started was the day I put the new header pic up. Now what could I have done wrong? Well maybe it was I didn't hit the save button before I exited dashboard. We'll see what happen with today's post.
Just talk to "pesky neighbor Wayne. He do'n good. Walk'n all over the place without his walker....on wobbly legs. May be able to drive in another month. Yee Haa for Wayne.
Ok....got to run down to Brians camp....see if'n he survived the cold last night.

Good grief Charlie Brown...
"Good grief" is bout the only words I can think of to describe this morn'ns weather. Ya see, I got up at 4am. There's a couple reason I got up at 4am. The first being, I had to pee....really bad. Second reason was, I weren't sleepy no more 'cause I went to bed at 9pm last night. And the the third reason was just in case Brian come by at 6am with his brand spank'n new bass fish'n boat. I would have me some coffee all brewed up and be ready to go catch me up some fish.....that was the idea anyhows. But I failed to observe the weather forecast for the weekend.....winds 20mph gust'n to a hunnert. There goes that 14 pounds bass I were gonna catch.
This bit of news may not be of interest to some ya, but yesterday there was a "shoot out" between the Border Patrol and drug smugglers shoot'n bullets cross the Rio Grande river at each other. Apparently no one was hurt in the shoot'n. But the reason I mention this is that this occurred less than 15 mile from "da house"....little town called Roma, Texas. Now old Billy Bob ain't skeered or nuttin like that, if'n that what ya think'n. I been shot at before by an old prospector out in California when we sneaked up on his camp. Crazy old coot!!!
Yesterday afternoon I were sit'n out there sip'n a cup an' enjoy'n a beautiful day. Up walks a total stranger. Guitar slung cross his back an' a glass full of "Jack"....or something like that in his hand. Stumble round a bit before he plop down in a chair an' commence to tell me he were the best musician in south Texas. After he plunk them strings and bellered out "On the road again", I had my doubts bout his musical abilities. Didn't sound nuttin like Willie Nelson, or in fact, anybody I know. After this brief encounter with the bestest musician in south Texas, I have decided I would be locking my door any time I leave camp....just so in case he falls down the steps tot'n my stuff out, he don't get hurt.

FIRE...we got a fire....
Ya see, it's like this....yesterday I were sit'n out there on "da porch", not really a porch ya know, but you know what I'm talk'n bout.....when I get's this grand idea. Grill up that slab of pork ribs.
All were go'n just great. Had the grill set on bout 275 deg, ribs all season up with some cheap BBQ sause an' I were sit'n back enjoy'n a fresh cup of coffee. Then the wind kick up a notch so's I crank up the temp on the ribs....a notch.
YIKES....we got fire, break out the water hose.
Now I mean to tell ya, the underside them ribs is crisp....like a log on fire. So's I break out some tools, hammers and cheisels and chip off all that burn stuff. Make them ribs look like brand spank'n new. Made me up some tater salad, but when I went look'n for pickles, there weren't none. Only a pickle jar full of jalepenos. "What ya think Billy Bob...jalepeno tater salad"?? After much debate it was decided to leave the jalepenos in the jar.
Was a fine eat'n meal even if'n I do say so myself.
Remember that big ol' flag what I fount in the dumpster bout 8 months ago? I were look'n at my new camp with all the trees and ...walla, mounted that flag.
Now that's what I'm talk'n bout. Big ol' sucker ain't it?
Things ain't look'n too good. Minnesota Mike is leav'n tomorrow for Florida and that Brian feller ain't showed up to take me fish'n in his brand spank'n new bass fish'n boat. Talk to another feller last night camped right next to me....with his hi dollar bass fish'n boat. He catch'ed up a 11 pounds 12 ounce bass. And the fish'n is "off" with the last cold snap we had. Them "lady" bass ought to be mov'n into shallow water any day now. Water temp is up and weather look'n good.
Boy howdy what a difference it makes to not have electricity hook up to "da house". By 9pm the old Billy Bob was ready for bed. Ain't no more this stuff stay up till midnight watch'n Mexican tv an' all that internet stuff.
Speak'n of batteries, remember a few months back I was cry'n an' whin'n bout my batteries go'n down for no reason? Well, that what they was do'n last night...and with only 2 lights turn on. Rekon it's that time to hunt me up a place to buy some brand spank'n new ones. "And check the water in them once in a while Billy Bob". "An' ya might wanna clean the crusty look'n terminals on them too". Sheesh....batteries.
No special plans for the day. Maybe lay back and do some serious think'n...take me up a nap....stuff like that.
Ok, this is the second time somebody mentioned that my blog is double posts. I'm now on Firefox mak'n a test edit to see if it's my browser or what.
Oh yeah, while I'm at it....Brian showed up last night after I went to bed. Met him this morn'n. Seems like a nice young feller, 'specially since he invited me to fish with him. More on that later.

Moving day....
Hmmmmm, let's take another look at Google Chrome. On suggestion from one my many favorite followers, I have decided to give it a try for a short, or long term trial. I'll tell ya one thing right now....that sucker is fast. Being that I'm used to a whole glob of buttons on a browser to click on, Chrome just don't "look" like no browser. Oh, did I mention it's fast.
I suppose I need to apologize for some of the comments I receive. As the say'n goes...."there's one in every bushel of apples"....or something like that. Ya see, this person in question had made a nasty comment on one of the blogs I follow and I was dumb enough to call him on his "style" of posting comments. That was a mistake. Now he is out to destroy Billy Bob's Place. So....I'm sorry for the inconvenience this has caused.
Today is "rolling" day. Gonna hook up "that jeep" to the back of "Sally da house" an' move on down the road a piece...right bout 3 mile. I gonna be boondock'n in the County Community Park....or what ever they call it. Oh, did I mention that it's free??? But the good news is, Minnesota Mike is camped down there with his boat an' he loves to go out fish'n. And not only is Mike camped there....with his boat, there is another feller down there with a brand spank'n new 21 foots bass boat just beg'n for somebody to go fish'n. I'm think'n I can fill his needs in a heartbeat. Gonna catch me up a great big ol' 14 pounds bass....yeeee ha I betcha.
I keep get'n asked where I gonna go to next and that brings up the old question...."what ya gonna do now Billy Bob"? I think everybody ask themselves that same question from time to time....when they ain't got nuttin to do ya know. I have to speak for the retired folks here, not you folks that still have a day job an' all that stuff. Bout all I can say is it ain't easy to be retired. Ya sleep all day if'n ya want to, live in a RV, got a pocket full of "gangle" change an' no where's in particular to go. Sometimes it get down right boring liv'n like this.
Ok....hook 'em up Billy Bob. See ya down the road a piece.

10:30 am....
Well shoot, there weren't nuttin to that move. Emptied the "nasty water" tanks, got a full tank of fresh water, took trash to the dumpster an' the solar panels are do'n a purty good job. Ya can't beat that with a stik.
Oh...and just in case MsB want to know, the dishes is all washed an' put away.
This gonna be Camp Billy Bob for my duration at Falcon Lake.
