On the floor again

Ok, so I missed mak'n a post yesterday. I can do that ya know, but if anybody else does it, I'll be on ya. Dad burn blogs!!!

To catch up from a day of "do'n nuttin" is gonna be simple. This could be it. Don't need to write no more.
But you know the old Billy Bob, he gonna say something. Yesterday was a "nuttin" day 'cause I climbed on the roof friday afternoon. It weren't the climb'n on the roof, but get'n my foot high enough for that first step.
With a messed up back, ya don't do that. Be like put'n your foot up on the kitchen counter so's ya can reach to overhead cabinets. Well I couldn't quite get my foot up that high, so's I grabs holt one them concrete blocks to lug over there to the ladder to use as a little booster step. Well, I paid for it all day yesterday. When I were younger, I could have climbed up the side of "da house" without a freak'n ladder. Jump over fences an' stuff.
"What was ya do'n on da roof Billy Bob"? Well, ya see, a few years ago, the awnings over the slide outs blowed all to hell. Ripped the material slap off'n them. Gone....pooof, just like that. Gonna replace them....that what I gonna do. Not know'n the brand and size, I had to climb up there an' get the information before I could order the new material. Order'n stuff online is fine and dandy with me, but I needed to know how long it takes for delivery. So's I calls them on my cell phone. This is on friday, but there ain't nobody home. This could be a red flag. Will call them back monday morn'n.

Boy howdy, you talk bout the wind blow'n up a gale. The weather people said it would blow 40 mile a hour with gusts to 50 something. I think they were right. Then last night, they said there was flash flood warnings for here. That would mean rain.....lots of rain. Ha....not a drop at old Billy Bob's house. But the winds never quit all night long. Blow'n good this morn'n with thrunderstorm warnings for the next few days.

Now that the "bubba boat" is all fix up for for cruis'n the high seas, I probably gonna need to install a fish finder so's I know where the fish live.

This is what I'm think'n......

  1. You do so good fishing that I would think a fishfinder would be of little value. You can catch a bass out of an empty bathtub it seems from what I have seen.

  3. Just because you know where the fish are, you still will not know if they are bass or carp and then you will have o entive them into the bubba-boat.

  4. Actually DD with current types of fishfinders you can fairly reliably tell what species you are seeing on the scope.

  5. Well heck, BB, as small as they are making these cameras today, you know, the ones about the size of a marble, just attach one of them to your lure and verify just what you are gonna maybe catch before it even strikes.

  6. Oh heck, old fart brain shutdown in the middle of whatever I was gonna say, o yeah. About that high ladder, just do what I try to do in that situation, grab a rung as high as possible and do a pull up until you can get the foot high enough. Coming down is even easier, when you get to the bottom rung, just let go, guaranteed that you will find the ground every time.

  7. Don't you have a small aluminum ladder that does not weigh as much as a cinder block that you could have used to get to your RV ladder?

I don't know a thing about fishing so can not comment on that gadget.

    1. Well no I don't MsB. Been gonna buy one for the last 8 or 10 years, but I don't know where I gonna put it. Could hang it on the ladder on the back, but then I would look like a "redneck" rv'er. Cain't have that ya know.

Fish'n is easy. Ya put some bait on the end of your fish'n string and throw the whole thing in the water. When ya get a bite, ya jumps in the water, grab your pole and reel in a big ol' fish.

  8. The Hummingbird is fine but most modern depth finders are good so just go with a price you like.

    Howdy BB,
You can tell ol' Bob from Athens is in good shape; jump up and grab the ladder? then pull youself up? he must weigh about 50#.. He sure don't go no 256#.. You sure don't wanna look like no redneck, with a ladder hung on your ladder!! Pickin' up 'concrete' blocks ain't real smart for folks with 'bad' backs, either; they used to make them 'haydyke' blocks, that was lighter than concrete, but the hay got toooo xpensive, so they went back to gravel!! Why do 'fishermen' have to have anything but a cane pole, line and worm to catch fish?? Once caught a 27# carp on a spinner-bait, though; pulled my canoe all over that slough before I got him in da boat and got slimed!!! I got 2 'fish-finders', one on each boat, they ain't found a fish in 3-4 years; boats are out behint the barn!!!
