We do something....work work work

Many years ago, I were a young man. Well, I weren't really THAT young. I was clean shaved, store bought haircuts, aviator sunglasses, a full fledged button up shirt an' a Stetson. I still got that Stetson. When I wear that sucker, I got me a fight on my hands with all them hoochy koochy wimmins chas'n me round the block. Well, I did back in them days anyhows.

If'n ya ain't never been there, ya need to go. Grand Canyon 2003.

While we was tourist'n the Grand Canyon, there was these pesky ravens beg'n for food. Walk right up to ya an' start jump'n up an' down....holler'n "gimme some tater chips". They also have special accomodations....park anywheres they want.
In my book, that is one beautiful bird.

Ok....did I mention that my dad gum refrigerator was fall'n out the wall? Think'n I may have mentioned it a few days ago. Anyhows, it ain't never gonna fall out the wall from this day forth. All fixed. At the same time, the coach furnace was removed from "da house" an' very possibly on it's way to the closest dumpster. Decisions decisions. In the furnaces place....under the fixed refrigerator, I'm think'n this would be a perfect location for a great big ol' pots an' pans, an' stuff drawer. I know how to build stuff like that ya know.
Thank ya my wonderful son Robert for your expert assistance.

Then there was yesterday. I weren't feel'm too bad when I roll out of that wonderful bed in the morn'n, so I figgered I would do a little more clean'n, trash'n an' sort'n of stuff in the bedroom.
My god, look what I fount. "You da man Billy Bob".

Then I said...."where the hell will I stow my books"?

Ha, weren't nuttin to it. *think'n there are still more books under the bed*

Again today, I don't feel so bad on the back side. Although, that dad gum right hip hurts like hell. Three more days. Yeee haa, I can hardly wait.....for good news. Bad news, the old Billy Bob is gonna be piss off.

Oh yeah, "yo mama's" surgery went very well. Took her a damn hour to climb the back steps. Robert got estimates on the ramp materials. Man...."that much"?

Ok....this is enough for today. Maybe something excit'n....or humorous will happen. But don't be bet'n your last dollar on it.

Oh wait, I almost forget. Grandson Tim bringed me a gift today. Not that I need it, but cain't Wait to take it to Walmart with me.

  1. It is so good to hear you are doing well - at least I'm thinking so. I envy you your cane; I need one on occasion. Four missing/stolen over time. Can you believe that; now that's what I would call a heartless crook. Once at the nursing home parking lot at the front door. Jeez. Here I was in a gambling frame of mind ....and you say Don't Bet. Gosh, I'd love to see the Grand Canyon. Yours is the bestest picture I've seen of it. Awe inspiring view.

Billy Bob, Please don't be angry at me for asking: I wish to know who the man is that's panning for gold on your very first post. You? Or - - - - He looks exactly like my youngest brother. I even wrote him out in Colorado about it.

    1. That's not a real cane Sissy. It's one them thin plastic thingys "just for fun" canes. Has a squeeker on the bottom end. Ever time ya put it down while walk'n, it squeeks. The little yeller horn is to tell Walmart shoppers to "git out the way, her come the Billy Bob". Dang....cain't wait.

That prospector....I ain't got no idea. Ain't me for sure. Fount it somewheres on the internet. That was back when I was all excitis bout gold prospect'n. Dang I miss "dig'n dirt".

    2. Gypsy, I had the very same thought you did. If I was still a filly (instead of a gray mare) I woulda been a hoochy-coochy wimmins going after the Billy Bob. :-)

  7. I'm all in favor of you keeping your books. What I do not understand is why you want to take them from under your bed. They have been there for how long? Why put them up on a counter where they can become missiles when turning a corner or a quick stop?

I'm sure you have your reasons and I'm only reading part of the story. However, in my opinion, you may have fixed something that was not broke.
