New stuff

Don't do me no good with all this fangled new stuff. Switched back to the old blogger post thingy. I'll get the hang of the new one, but not today. I've read some bloggers use Word and other editors to post their blogs, but....why? What's wrong with this one? Don't it take longer to write your blog in Word, then cut and paste it from Word, then put your photos in, then edit, then hit the "publish post" button? Just ask'n.

For some odd reason I ain't at all excited bout a trip to Georgia. Although I will be see'n bout 18 of my grand young'uns and 5/7th's my kids what I ain't see in almost 2 years, go camp'n up in the mountains for a week or so, do some lake fish'n an' camp'n, free food, free camp site,....did I mention free food. Now I'm get'n excited.

Today is got to be laundry day. I'm down to my last pair of Wranglers, and they don't fit. Although....they are the same size as the rest. I rekon it all depends what Country makes them if they gonna fit or not. I hate do'n laundry, if'n ya didn't know. Do ya sort your clothes when ya wash 'em? I don't, unless jeans in 2 washers is sort'n. Do ya use them pretty smell'n dryer sheets? I don't....don't want to smell like a meadow full of flowers. Most wimmins would cringe at the way I do my laundry. Clean is all what matters. Wrinkles....ehh, who cares?

Don't know why, but I waked up way too early this morn'n. It was still dark outside and nobody gets up in the dark.....do they? Old "pesky neighbor" Wayne used to brag bout get'n up at 4am. I ask him what he do till the sun comes up. He said "nuttin". Case closed. No sense get'n up in the dark, cain't see nuttin  and then don't do nuttin for hours. That why God invented a snooze button on alarm clocks.

Ok.....I got to go. Things to do ya know. Laters.

  1. Dryer? What dryer? The clothesline is how my clothes get dry. I am allergic to those dryer sheets... why mess up the good old fresh air smell anyway? But... I do try to keep whites white and try to remember to wash reds by themselves... had everything turn pink more than once. As for GA... I bet you'll get more excited the closer those kids and grandkids get!

    1. In the RV'n world, ya go to the laundromat to dry your clothes. I had a washer load of pink underdrawers more than once myself. So I throwed out all my red stuff to the dumpster. Problem solved.

I think I said it before...."ya don't know my kids and grandkids". Proud of them all.

  2. Line drying here in Rockport means your damp clothes are crusty with salt by the end of the day.
I compose the blog in Word because it seems easier to make and correct mistakes than using the Blogger editor. Then I copy and paste into blogger and add the pics. Hit publish and then find more miskakes.
I will be in North Alabama late July and early August. Have fun.

  3. Totally agree about Word, i can come back and add to, any time i want with blogger. I use windows live photo when i have pics, but one clic and it publishes.

  4. What you guys do with Word, I do with blogger. I write my blog. Edit my blog. Add pics to my blog. Go back any time I want to add to or further edit. Just a simple click and it's done deal.

    1. Unless the internet is down or you do not have internet. With Word,as long as the computer is running,I can write and save blog posts for future publishing. That is the major difference in using a personal computer based word processor and the blogger system. Both ways are just tools in the tool box for use as a person sees fit to use them.

  6. I use windows live writer, i can do it off line and select a date that i want it publish .. when i go online i open it up and hit publish. It's much easier then blogger and i don't even have to sign in to blogger. I can even go back and edit in writer and i do not have to go into blogger to do the double spacing between paragraphs like you do blogger. I do not like blogger at all .. i love writer

  7. I use MS Word to write my posts in before going online to do the post because I often write my post hours or days before I actually do the post. Then I go to Blogger to do the post and schedule it to pop up at 3:00 AM the next morning.

If you just go to Blogger and write your post there and then post it sometimes the internut loses your post and then that time was wasted and it's lost and you have to do it again, or be pissed cuz it got lost. When that happens I only have to do another copy/paste.

Pennie said something about Windows Live Writer, but I know nothing about it, there's so many ways to do things it's hard to keep up with them all.

I sort my clothes after I take them out of the dryer and put them away.

  8. I use Word for all the reasons that Barney mentioned. It has happened more than once that I have "lost" my post so I just copy and paste and it's done.

It is another matter with pictures, they take forever to upload to Photobucket and then to my blog...but alas I do not know any other way to do it :(

  9. Of course I sort my laundry. Learned that years ago when I turned my clothes pink in more than one occasion.

My drier at home does not work and at my mom's she does not have one so I don't get to use my drier sheets very often. I love the way they make my clothes smell when I do :)

  10. I had that 'pink boxer' problem which I solved by buying nothing but dark printed boxers; no more white t-shirts either. If the white sheets turn a different color I just live with it!
