Still dream'n

I don't feel no better today than I did yesterday, but I'm gonna write something anyhows.

Ya see, here's what I been talk'n bout. Some time dur'n the night I hear a loud commotion. I wake up. The freak'n wind is blow'n a hunnert mile a hour. My "billy bike" is lay'n on it's side....knock some shit crap stuff down. How comes? Well, it's another damn cold front, that what it is. I mean, this crap has been go'n on for months now....wind, snow, rain, flood'n....all over the place. I can't go to Colorado 'cause they got a foot of snow yesterday. The east coast is feel'n the end results of the front that was here just a few days ago. I'm stuck here in Sinton, Texas.

But to be on the serious side, I have been think'n for quite some time that maybe it's time for the old Billy Bob to hang it all up. Shoot, I done did most everthing I ever wanted to do. Traveled all over the southern part of the US from the east coast to the west coast. I'm think'n it's bout time for a new adventure. Now I ain't say'n that I don't like my free lifestyle or nuttin like that. It just has to change to something that excites me. As of this writing, I'm not excited bout nuttin.

You all know how much I like to build stuff, or to modify something already built. My last dream is to build my "RV shelter".

But before I can build a RV shelter, I got to find a place to build it. Hee hee hee, wouldn't a nice little piece of property right on a big ol' lake be a perfect place? Maybe this dream is unobtainable, but it don't stop me from dream'n. "To let a dream die is to die inside"....by Billy Bob.

I attempted to make a list yesterday of all the possibilities of a "home base". The list was short. The cons outweighed the pros. All were eliminated except for one....the Corpus Christi area, what had only 2 cons......salt air and wind. It has everthing I could ever want....15 Walmarts, cheap smokes, my bank an' my post office is right across the ferry in Port Aransas, cheap camp'n at "El Rancho Abraham", eat 'em up places on every corner, moderate temps.....what more could ya want? Oh yeah, an' the fish'n is excellent too. Corpus Christi also covers my needs too. Bout a hunnert hospitals within walk'n distance....if'n you're a walker, an' all the doctors I would ever need. Who the hell goes to doctors??? They there if needed though.

I like the suggestion of a visit to the Houston area. I been think'n bout that myself....go visit Dizzy Dick an' give him some "prospect'n" books I no longer have a use for. I don't think he does either, but he would love the "dream'n" part. I can just see it now....sit'n outside on Hermit Jim's patio sip'n up a cup with me, Dizzy an' Jim tell'n lies an' stuff at each other. That would be nice.

Ok, I got things to do. Have a good'ern. Laters.

  1. Dreams are part of what keeps us going! I like the idea of an RV cover close to the fishing hole!

  2. Nice design. Now you will have to find the perfect site and it has to be for sell or lease. Good luck, I like your idea.

  3. I lived in CC for 5 years. I can't really recall being miserable weather wise there like it can get here in the Houston area. The constant winds in CC probably help break the heat though. Houston is an armpit! But I also lived in Galveston county, I liked being able to hop down to Galveston or anywhere on the bay if I wanted to.

  4. If you and the HERMIT and DIZZY all get together, be sure you have a great big shovel, the "stuff" is gonna get pretty deep.

  5. Billy Bob -

Like I said before - Come on Down! I'll bet y'all would have a grand old time, swapping stories, tellin' lies, and drinkin' coffee. Hermit could even give you one of his new baby kitties to keep you and SadieMae younger!

Look forward to meeting you, so don't let me down......

    Howdy #1 BB,
I refuse to enter into this disCUSSion, because as ol' Cactus Jack said about the Veeps job, that's my feelings about the CC-PA-RP area; I wasn't born with gills!!!! As my cuzzin says, who lives in RP, there ain't nobody here but mis-placed Yankees or Canadians, all wantin' your $$$$!!! Spend BIG BUCKS and buy a place in Sinton!!! Shoot, you already have a place in Sinton!!!!! GO SWAK A GOLF-BALL!!!!!!!!!!!!
