Gotta go....fish call'n
I be fish'n.......
***************************************************************************
Hot diggity dog, that were some kind of fun. 9 in da boat and 2 automatic release. Most fish today were in the 1 to 3 pounds range.....mostly 1's. Boated one bass big enough to photograph. The rest....ehhh, forget it.

Falcon Lake fever
What can I say, I have a fever. Yeah I like to fish. Probably better than most things I do. Although I sure would like to be building something, using my hands to create a memory of some sort. But.....I ain't got no wood, so that's out of the question until a later date. In the mean time, it's fish'n".
Didn't mention it, but that damn slide out is act'n up again. OFM Barney had to assist the hunnert hp motor that operates the slide out the other day when we made our move back to the State Park. So repairing the slide out is on my priority list as soon as I arrive back on the Gulf coast. How long does it take Billy Bob to repair slide outs? Hell, I don't know....never did it before.
Yesterday afternoon me an' my trusty companion Sadie Mae took a little trip down to the lake. Just look'n round ya know. Made a few casts out into the brushy areas and "I want you lookie here", I done catched me up a bass fish. Then Barney showed up and "sugar talked" MY bass over to where he was fish'n. He catched up 2.....just like that.
Today is a good day for fish'n. Ain't hardly a breeze outside. Ain't no sun neither. What ya think? Should I???
Yeah, I think that what I better do. Gonne take "bubba boat" over there to a new fish'n spot....catch me up a 14 pounds bass.
Ok....things to do.....I'm out of here.

Test is over...
Well that settles that question. Google Chrome, what they been say'n is the only browser to fix blog problems is now in the dumpster back in Deming with all my other junk. I should never listen when somebody says "change this".
Some people eat just to be eat'n. I do that quite often myself, not giv'n a hoot if'n it tastes good or not. Then there are rare occasions when I eat for the enjoyment of it. Savor the many different flavors of a good restaurant cooked meal. You would think this close to the Mexican border there would be a gazillion Mexican restaurants to choose from. But that ain't so. All me an' the OFM Barney found was a little ramshackle cafe beside the road....with a big ol' attic fan hang'n over a winder for air conditioning. Then there was only 2 people what could speak English....me and Barney. But the food was savored by our taste buds down to the very last bite. Not excellent, but very good for our choice of eat'em ups.
Then we went to Walmart to fill our long lists of necessaries. Barney sneaked out the store, mumbl'n something bout fish'n, before I could see what was in his shop'n cart. But I knowed what was in mine....only half of what I had on my list.
Walmart in Rio Grande City sucks. Tell all your friends.
After a day of eat'n and shop'n, I still have enough time to go find that elusive 14 pounds bass. Although I could use a nice nap. I'm get'n to think'n I ain't gonna catch no 14 pounds bass before I pull out next week....or whenever. What ya think?
Ok, got things to do....or not do.....laters.

Day to relax????
Well crap, ain't got nuttin to write about this morn'n. It ain't like I didn't do nuttin yesterday, but it's not write worthy.
But guess what.....I'm gonna tell ya anyhows. Ya see , Barney decided to meet me at the lake and play with his kayak. By the time he got there, I had done made a run out on the lake and got blowed all over the place by the forecased 2 to 4 mph winds. Ha, what do forecasters know bout wind.....it were right up there bout 15 miles a hour.
I were sit'n there in "that jeep" look'n at "bubba boat"....engineering ya know, when I got a idea. Move the battery to the front of the boat....(Weight distribution ya know). Took 'er out on the lake for a test spin. Holy cows, what a difference that makes. Go a hunnert mile a hour straight like a arrow. So's I cast my trusty bass catch'n lure and all I catched was the back end of "bubba boat". Didn't hear no air gushing out a big ol' hole, but to be safe, I headed to shore.
This is what I fount hang'n on for dear life to the back of the boat. After examining for damage to the air bladder inside the outside covering, it was determined that there was no hole. "You lucky sum a gum Billy Bob". Casting technique has to be reconsidered. The hook did not penetrate the outer cover....only hang'n on to a few strands of cloth. One more trip out on the lake proved that "bubba boat" don't like wind over 12 mile a hour.
Back at camp I set "bubba boat" on the picnic table an' blowed it up with all the wind I could muster. One half pound air ain't enough. Gotta get me one them hi pressure pump thingys what ya pump with your foot. Anyhows, did a slight modification to the motor mount.
That's all I did....but it was a successful day.
Got up this morn'n to more wind. Damn, is it ever gonna quit? Got to remember the weather in Falcon State Park in March when winter in south Texas next year. Maybe the other end of the lake would be a better choice with all the protected coves on that end.
I been think'n bout that guy what's been kill'n snakes. I would think that a native Texan would have no fear of snakes, especially little grass snakes. Can't believe a guy would kill a defenseless little snake just to be kill'n something. And then blame his actions on the neighbor.
That my rant for the day.
Ok, got things to do.....even if'n they ain't right.

Right decisions
Boy howdy does it ever feel good when ya make a right or good decision. Had it not been for the OFM Barney reminding me that there is electricity in the State Park, I would have probably died last night of heat exhaustion or drowned in a ball of sweat. Air conditioning is nice.
Other than mak'n the long 4 mile move to the State Park yesterday, I have nuttin else to talk about. That was yesterdays "catch of the day" reposted for those that didn't catch yesterdays afternoon blog update. "You da man Billy Bob".
Camera done bit the dust. Won't come on.....won't do nuttin. And I just bought it 8 months ago. Trip to Walmart??? Nah, I'll just use the big'un until I can find one them little ones with a view finder. Ya ever try to take a pic out in the sunshine look'n at that little screen and can't see nuttin? Just point and hope for the best....that all you can do.
Today is not the day I were think'n it were. Somewheres along the line I either lost a day or invented a new one. Today is monday, but by what I were think'n, today is tuesday. "Dang Billy Bob, pay attention".
Ok got things to do......check back laters and see my 14 pounds bass I gonna catch.

Go'n fish'n....again
Well I really don't care if'n ya don't want to hear bout fish'n or not. I'm go'n fish'n. I'm gonna blow the "bubba boat" slap up and cruise all over the lake. So what ya got to say bout that...huh???
It's a beautiful morn'n here at Falcon Lake. Not a cloud in the skys. Not even the puff of a breeze. But let me tell ya bout last night. It were miserable try'n to go to sleep in a oven of a motorhome with no air conditioning. My bed room has one little tiny window an' that's it....no ventilation. After an hour of toss'n an' turn'n, I gets up and heads for the couch where theres a nice cooling breeze blow'n cross my body. Bout 3am I wakes up with goose bumps all over the place....what the hell?
Built me up a big ol' pot this morn'n think'n Barney would share a cup with me. He had green tee or some other sissy stuff in his cup. This stuff I brewed up would have make the hair stand up on his head....that what it would'a done.
We pretty much decided to spend our last week at the State Park where they serve up all the electric you can eat on the "early bird special" of $96 with free access to the bass fish'n hole. Too bad ol' Dizzy Dick couldn't be here to "show" me and Barney how to fish. But after yesterday, I'm think'n old Barney don't need no teach'n. Skunk me in two casts without even try'n. Go on over to his blog for a couple nice pics.

Ok.....time to roll....things to do....fishes to catch.

1pm
Here I are back from another successful fish'n trip. Just one fish is a success....right?
By the time I got "bubba" all blowed up and loaded, the wind picked up. I says...."to hell with it, I'm go'n fish'n". What was a good choice. Only catched up one fish..............
See there, I tole ya so.
I comes back home and see Barney pull'n out. I says, "where the hells are you go'n"? State Park where there's electricity. Be right behinds ya Barney, it hot in "da house".
Dag nab boat is full of water. I tried relocating the battery in a new spot....to save using 2 wire ties to hold it in it's normal location. Well, the little extra weight right over the self bail'n hooomajig whatsamacallit cause me to fill up the "bubba boat" with bout a hunnert gallon lake water. Wondered why my butt was get'n wet.
I'm done...out of here....laters.
