Damn I'm bored slap out

I didn't tell ya this, but I tore that a/c compressor slap out of "that jeep". The damn thing leaked.....even after I put some that guaranteed leak stopper stuff in it.

"Now what ya gonna do Billy Bob"??? Well shoot, I gonna go down the street to the air condition'n compressor sell'n place and buy me up a brand spank'n new one.....that what I'm gonna do. Sure do hurts my pride that I couldn't fix the damn thing myself, but after tak'n it apart one time and it still leak, it's time for a new one. Ya see, ya can't just go out and buy new "o" rings for a compressor...ya know. Actually they ain't "o" rings. They is "square" rings. Who ever thought of put'n square "o" rings on a compressor???? Ain't that the same as put'n a square peg on a round hole? Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyhows......"what ya been do'n Billy bob"? Well shoot, I ain't been do'n nuttin. Dad blasted TV got me mezmarized....or something like that. Been stay'n up till the wee hours watch'n stupit stuff. I don't even like TV.....what the hell I do'n watch'n it?

Speak'n of TV, when I live on the boat, I ordered me up one them there DirecTV thingys. When the monthly cost got to $47 a month, I throwed all that stuff slap in the dumpster. My son Robert got me hook up to his DirecTV and there ain't nuttin but commercials every 8 minutes or so. That right there is all it took for the old Billy Bob to make the decision he weren't gonna fall into another DirecTV trap. An' ya ain't go no choice of what ya gonna watch neither......junk, that what it is.....junk. If'n it was me run'n things, DirecTV would give ya a choice of program'n. Cost ya bout a nickle, or a quarter, for each channel ya choose. Sound good to me.

Boy howdy.....old age sure is catch'n up to me real quick like. All my hopes, wants an' desires are just sit'n there look'n at me as to say..."well"???? I don't rekon 70 year old is really old. But when you got a back what been mess up for 30 years, 70 year old is old. Sure would like to wake up one morn'n and not feel like I slept with a butcher knife in my back. Then have to stumble my way to the coffee pot for my morning dose of "fixer up" caffeine. Then after a couple hours sit'n on my buttocks, finally be able to get up and move around an' do something. That sucks ya know.

Ok....got things to do. "How bout put'n all them tools away Billy Bob"??? Maybe today, maybe not.

  2. I use oxygen when I sleep. No C-pep or anything, just plain old oxygen. Got me two of those compressor things, keep one in the house and one in the RV. I get much better sleep since I started using them. You see, I quit breathing at night and it is good to have your blood oxygenated to last for the time my breathing takes a brake. So far, I have been waking up in the morning. . .

    1. Dizzy, I don't need oxygen. I have a back problem. A bad back problem. It don't never go away. So oxygen ain't gonna help me.

    2. I just thought it would make you sleep better and wake more refreshed, especially in New Mexico where you are up at higher altitudes.

    1. Well shoot Barney, I were out there tak'n a close look at them tires. Yes they got some itty bitty cracks in them, but is a itty bitty crack bad? If'n I do buy tires, I decided to buy 5 brand spank'n new ones just like my spare. Put one the older tires in the spare tire rack and forget bout it.

    2. After much consideration and close inspection, I'm think'n I got another hunnert miles on these tires. Ain't got no big cracks in them except for one where I runned over a little Volkswagen what put a big gash in the side it. But...if'n I do replace tires, I gonna buy me up 5 of the same as my spare. Use a good 'un in place of the spare.

  4. Sorry to hear about the bad back. It does make it difficult to jump around, I'll bet!

    Good luck on the compressor!

  5. Lemme see..."that floor" = bad back! "that jeep" = bad back! Or have you been trying to sit in the drivers seat, which is still probably not reinstalled yet?? Nah, that would hurt the bum...
    "That" floor looks GREAT btw!
I've gotten caught up now. Get a cordless dremel for "those" nails on "that" dog. ;-)

    1. Well shoot, I done got everything done on the inside....with a little help ya know. I did plop my buns down in the driver seat an' pretended I was go'n down the road a piece. Even cranked up the engine.

I got me some them critter nail clipper thingys, but I skeered I gonna hurt my puppy. Well, to tell the truth, I'm just lazy. Floor is get'n hard enough now that it ain't leav'n no scratches. So where does this leave Sadie Mae? Probably long fingernails. Maybe I paint 'em....what ya think?

  6. Try some Locktite 515 on those square"O"rings. Most industrial supply stores got it. I've had pretty good luck with it when new orings can't be found.

  7. I got DircTV in Tucson and here in the mountians a thing called Cable One. Nothing is any better on cable. Its the same stinkin shows I have seen for 5 yrs. I bet some of those folks aren't even alive anymore or the animals for that matter on Animal Planet or its all about snakes. Why should we have to pay for all that junk and like you said all the commercials. they run longer than the shows.
Anyway I feel bad for you. Hope you get your jeep fixed.

  8. BB, when I started waking up in the morning with back pain, I realized that my mattress was causing it all or at least most of it. Don't know why, after all it was only about 25 years old, just getting broke in. Went and got me an air mattress and started experimenting with firmness, after a while the pain mostly gone, then I went and got a real mattress about the same firmness and sleeping good now.

  9. Well Billy Bob, I am only a couple of years younger than you and suffer from a back problem as well.

I have never heard you mention that you can not sleep in your bed. I have to sleep in my dad's recliner or on my zero gravity chair. If I try to sleep in a bed, the pain is terrible and I have the hardest time being able to lift myself up. Hate to think what it will be like in a couple of years :(

  10. I know what you're saying, Billy Bob; but wait! It gets even more interesting at 71 and onward.
