Did he or didn't he???

Well hell no he didn't.
I got up this morn'n an' look out the winder...."where the hell am I at"? I do that quite often now that I become of age. Sometimes I don't know if I'm com'n or go'n. Anyhows, it's freak'n 9am. The temp is already up to 88 degs.....and very humid. You ain't gonna see this old boy out there on no golf course swak'n balls in this kind of weather.

"What that noise Billy Bob?....the back a/c is mak'n weird noise". I remember one time before I hear them same weird noises. It were the front a/c. I swear, I spend a whole week find'n what cause that noise. The thermostat, that what it were. Turn the a/c on an' off, on an' off...every couple seconds. That my friends, is NOT good for the compressor. Cause the compressor to over heat, trip the overload protection gadgit....eventually burn that compressor slap up. So, a new thermostat is the order of the day.....or maybe tomorrow.

Well I want you lookie here. I'm parked right across the street from the laundry. I grabs holt my laundry basket an' away I go. Did me up one large load of wash'n. My god, them washer machines hold a lot of dirty clothes. Freak'n dryer don't work worth a crap though. $2 to dry one large load of clean clothes. Got back, fold 'em up an' finish watch'n Henry Ford on PBS.

That was my complete excitement for one day of camp'n in a pull thru spot with a golf course right over there. I sure did want to go swak some balls this morn'n, but what the hell, "el Rancho Abraham" is only 2 miles down the road. All I gotta do is climb in "that jeep" an' be here in 8 minutes....or less. Cain't always have yer cake an' eat it too.

Ok....time to pack up an' hit the road. Ha ha ha...hit the road, a whole two miles. I ain't never move to another campground only two miles away. It just ain't done. But in my case, I got my black water tank emptied, a change of scenery an' a new yard for Sadie Mae to poop in. Mission accomplished!!!!
****************************************************************************

The dreaded two mile move has been accomplished. Back "Sally da house" into her berth on the first try. I used to be a sail'n boat capt'n ya know. The views from my winders are nuttin compared to what I left just 30 minutes ago. Here all I see is mesquite trees, junk cars an' that damn goat. But it's good to be back.

Ok....lunch date with my favorite golf ball swak'n guy Barney. We gonna lie to each other I betcha. Catch up on our last week of adventures...stuff like that.

  1. Nothin like some new scenery, even if its only two miles down the road. We only moved 1/2 mile yesterday to get new front brakes on our house!

    1. I don't know George. Driv'n two miles to get brakes put on don't sound like a "move". I'm 8 1/2 years old now...."Sally" said that, and still don't need no stink'n brakes. Oh wait, my sons replaced them last year while I was in Georgia. "DUH Billy Bob....don't ya remember nuttin"???

Sure did miss my Weber last night. Grilled peanut butter and jelly....yum yum.

  2. It takes almost as much preperation to move a couple of miles as it does a couple of hundred, except the fuel tank would need filled for the longer trip.

    1. Preparation weren't nuttin. Left the slides in, didn't hook up nuttin but power to run the a/c's and of course the sewer hose.

Thought bout fill'n the fuel tank while I was out, but....wouldn't it be a waste of fuel to drive 10 miles round trip just to fill up? I go that way when I hit the road anyhows.

    1. It would have cost more for me to drive to a dump station in Corpus....or somewhere like that, than to rent a r/v spot right here in Sinton.

Too dad burn hot to be outside do'n "anything" today. Be glad when that high pressure system goes off somewheres else. It's like HOT in south Texas.

  5. It's a good thing you spent the night in another location - keeps you from settling too long in one spot!

    1. LOL Gypsy, settling in one spot ain't too bad when ya got a few health issues hold'n ya down. But the change of scenery was nice.

    Howdy# 1 BB,
Well, you should stay inside where it's COOOOOOL, because at 3:45 pm in Sinton, Texas, it is 98*/47% HUMIDITY/107* HEAT INDEX !!!!!! BUT UP HERE AWAY FROM THE WATER (THERE AIN'T NONE) THE WONDERFUL WEATHER AT 3:45PM IS, 100*/28% HUMIDIDITY/101* HEAT INDEX !!! I think I'll go out in my Pronto/Sure-step M-91 electric wheel-chair and chop up some more 'goat-heads' !!! You ever had 'goat-heads'; they grow overnite, just poppin' up and speadin' like some kind of 'demon' !!! Every manwnin' I can go over the same plot of ground AND THEY'RE BACK !!! Joyce don't like me workin' in th' hot part of the day, but if'n I don't they get away from me... I go at it until I run outa energy then come inside and cool off, with a cool glass of sumpin' and rest for a while, in the cooool office, read blogs & write comments, then go back out there and fight them blasted goat-heads !!! When I moved onto this ranch we only had a 'patch' about 30' across of'em, but I didn't see'em and mowed across'em; THEN SCATTERED'EM ALL OVER THE YARD; and of course they warshed (when it did come a shower) down the slope and down the drive-way rutz !!! Been 'fightin'em for nigh on to 10 years, now !!!

Hope it coooooolz off down on the coastal plains, so you and Barney can swak some golf balls !!!

By way of info'mation Have you or Barney ever seen any allimagaterz down there while tryin' to have toooooo much fun ???

My cuzzin that lives in Holiday Beach found a dead one, loaded it in the back of her Dodge pik-em-up truk and hauled it around Rockport, tryin' to find a taxidermy-man to stuff it, until someone told her it was 'sick-bird' to have it in her pik-em-up truk; she took it back where she found it and dumped it.
