Here I was, sit'n back think'n I had it all figger out an' somebody throws a monkey wrench in my lunch sack. Yeah, I'm talk'n bout Blogger. I don't know how many other people are hav'n the same problem I am, but damn, this is frustrat'n. In my little circle of everyday blogs, there is 4 in particular that is mess'n with my mind. They redirect to a blank page before they fully load. To nowhere. Just a freak'n blank page. I learned to use the back button and stop button on my browser to at least see what's go'n on in someone elses world, but it seems to be getting worse. Making comments has become a chore. This makes me wonder if people are having the same problem with my blog.
Yesterdays task of air conditioning repair was a success. (By the way, that thermostat is still lay'n on the counter.) Everything went just like clockwork. It's fixed. But.....I've said them same words in the past....it's fixed, only to discover later that "it ain't fixed". So, I gonna be knock'n on wood with crossed fingers that this repair is a fix.
Boy howdy!!! I got up this morn'n with my mind all twisted up in a tizzy over "what now Billy Bob"? Yeah, you've heard me say that many times before. But I have really no idea what, where or when something is gonna happen. Oh I have plenty ideas roll'n round up there, but put'n them into action is where the problem lays. I'm run'n out of "legal" excuses.
Been read'n fish'n reports for the area I am in. Lake Corpus Christi reports suck 'cause there ain't no recent reports. But, Falcon Lake is red hot. They catch'n double digit bass. Holy cows, that's 10 pound plus. I ain't never catch me a 10 pound bass.
Yep down on Falcon at Zapata you can sleep late, go fishing, have lunch, play golf and take a long nap then hit one of the great restaurants for a delicious meal, hit the lake for another fishing trip before dark, then sit at the dock fishing for a big catfish. Finally hit the bed for a great nights sleep. Be so sore the next morning you will be glad to sit around for a while cooking fish fillets.
ReplyDeleteBlogger works fine on Chrome, but not on IE. IE won't let me spell check, or preview. Don't know if that has anything to do with your problem or not.
ReplyDeleteThis time of year,,i sure get that fishing craving. Look at the river as fishing,,,now.
I love to catch bass at night in shallow water on surface plugs. It don't get any better than that. And I don't ha e any problems with your blog. Do you have trouble with mine?
ReplyDeleteTrouble, I don't want to change to a different browser....or update the one I have. I've already tried the new version of Firefox and didn't like it at all. My only problem wit Blogger is a select few of the blogs will redirect to a blank page....what never loads.
ReplyDeleteYes Dizzy, your blog is one of the select few. Ben's & MsB's are also among them.
Not sure why, but never have issues with Blogger. Of course, now I will probably have all of the issues x4. I haven't had any issues commenting, but I don't comment all that often. I usually don't have any issues looking. I don't get spam comments. Then again, not a lot of folks comment on my blog. Maybe not being so popular is the ticket?
ReplyDeleteBB, I have the same problem with some o' the blogs I go to. It seems to be a theme issue... in other words, the theme the person uses what owns the blog. The ones that displays the comments on the same page as the posts... not like yours where they're on a whole 'nother page.
ReplyDeleteI struggle through the same as you, usin' the back button and mashin' the red X in time to see it. If'n I wanna post a comment, sometimes it takes 3 or 4 tries. Other times I jes give up an' move on.
No trouble from Blogger, IE9 or windows 7.
ReplyDeleteYour having problems with my blog? I am not surprised :(
ReplyDeleteI never hear you complain about Blogger so I figure it was just a few of us having problems.
I have found that if I use the sidebar in some blogs, the page will not load. I now use my dashboard to get to my favorite blogs.
Last night I started having problems again but with Cricket, my ISP.
When you get a white page (or screwed up page) the first thing you should to is tap the F5 key to refresh the page, that often fixes the problem.
ReplyDeleteIf it doesn't just move on, none of this shit is important anyway.
I've already tried the new version of Firefox and didn't like it at all.
ReplyDeleteYou have to tweak the settings to make it more to your liking. One thing you can depend on with confusers is constant change.
I'm using a MAC w/Safari and everything looks good - your site loads instantly ! Be Safe and Have A Great Day !
ReplyDeleteI have the same problem with DD blog not loading or going to a blank page, sometimes I can bake up and get it.
ReplyDeleteI use Firefox/Thunderbird and just upgraded to the latest addition....I'm not impressed so far.
I so far am not having any problems with blogger, thankfully ! I am your 100dreth follower...I think that makes me special!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBlessings Jane
I have had problems off and on with blogger. Seems most of those times was when my wifi signal was as strong as it needed to be! I also use internet explorer. Blogger has been working fine for me the past 6 blogs though! Thanks BBC for the F5 key hint! Hope I can remember it!
