Do I go to Georgia or not?

Well hell no I didn't go fish'n yesterday. I didn't work on the slide out neither. But I did get my new tackle bag thingy all fill up with my fresh water fish'n stuff. The smaller bag is all fill up with my salt water fish'n stuff. Deflated the "bubba boat" and loaded it back in "that jeep". That took over 4 hours with a couple three coffee breaks and some think'n.

Speak'n of think'n, here what I got on my mind. Yes it's work related.....along with some fish'n and stuff like that. From where I'm located, Sinton, Texas, it's 1000 mile to my sons house in Douglasville, Ga. I'm think'n if'n he cuts a few trees down, I can get "Sally da house" in his back yard where we can pull the living room slide out slap out the wall, tear all this damn carpet out and install a all wood floor.....and be done with it for the rest of my life. With other son Ronny coming home from Afghanistan in June, that's one more helper. Way I figger it, 2 weeks to 2 months and it's all done. But then again, I'm just sit'n here sip'n a cup and do'n some think'n.

That leaves the question of what to do bout "that jeep". Tags expire in June. Dr. appointment in June. Prescriptions expire in June.
Ok....take that back. The Jeep registration don't expire till Aug 31st 2012. Yee Ha....that good news. Now all I got to do is figger out how to get my prescriptions renewed without driv'n all the way to Deming....800 miles. I have all my records.......suggestions welcomed.

Ok....that's it for now....got decisions to make ya know.

  1. BB, if you get your prescriptions filled at Wal*Mart, any Wal*Mart in the US can call back to where you got the first prescription filled (if'n it was another Wally World). I found that out and get my bp medicine there mainly for that reason.

  2. Maybe I didn't make myself clear.....my prescriptions EXPIRE....need to be renewed for another year. Walmart can't do that. Only a doctor can.
I've been using Walmart for my prescriptions for the last 4 years....transfer from store to store.

    1. Don't need a new doc. Just contact the Walmart who has your prescriptions on file and order a new deck. They'll do all the footwork with your doc by email. Not as big a deal as one thinks.

    2. Chuck, I've tried that before. My doctor will NOT write a year prescription unless I make my yearly appointments. He will extent for 30 days, but that's a long ways from a year.

  3. Get a new doc, besides, he might come up with a better treatment. Explain your situation. OR,,,he might just say,,,enjoy the time you got,,,(joking!!!)

  4. I use Target they can get you and emergency one time filling for 90 days if you contact them early, that is what I did, I had to find a new doctor and got him to fill the stuff up, diabetes 2 prescriptions and high blood pressure medicines...I got a new doctor and they still got the prescriptions filled from my former doctor and tacked it on to my new doctors prescriptions so I have no hassle and got the medicine for an additional 90 days, worth looking into..I don't do Walmart at all..but Target is absolutely great for generics only $10.00 for 90 day prescriptions and they are very careful and make sure you get your prescriptions before they run out and expire..just a suggestion!

  5. Depending on what meds you take, some doctors will renew them if you say pretty please, and let them know you simply can't get back to see them. The other option is go to Mexico. That's what I would do if I was as close as you are.

  6. OK BB, here is my suggestion. Grab your waders and salt water gear and head down to 361 (you know where) and catch some trout. It will make your thinking clearer.

  7. Does your walmart have a doc in the box? Perhaps just going in & talking to them, the doc can get your records from the other doc in Ca. I can't see anyone having to be stuck so far away. You can get the Jeep renewed with Ga tags & such there if you want to do that too. Go, be with your family! I'd be with mine in a heartbeat if I wasn't medically stuck here right now.

  10. I think what I would do is call the Dr. in Demmings and ask him pretty please if he would give you a 90 day extension considering your 800 miles away. If he will not then ask for a 30 day supply and then either see a local Dr. or one in Georgia when you get there. I like the idea of going to Georgia and fixing that floor and leak right. If you just patch it now you are going to have to fix it right later and who knows how much extra damage you will have.
