Short post....Yeah right

Dang....Grrrrrrrr an' all that stuff.

Today's post was gonna be extra short....an' hopefully it still will be. I'm tired bout writ'n bout all this crap go'n on. But then again, this crap is part of my "adventurous" life. Everbody wants to read bout my adventures.....right?

In short, yesterday was not a adventure. In fack, I was highly pissed. Poor little girl was only do'n her job. Me, not know'n much bout get's surgery an' that kind of stuff, had no idea all this "new" stuff has to be done before I can "git fixed".  "Git fixed"???? That's just a maybe situation. I almost throwed in the towel right then an' there. I can be pessimistic if'n I want to. Thanks to Google, I am more pessimistic than I was at the start. There's some things that a laminectomy does not take care of. Mainly "back pains". Some relief, if all goes well, but will still experience back pains.

Now, bout all these damn tests I got to take. I'm think'n I realize the "whys" of 'em, but I'm also think'n there ain't no way I'm gonna pass 'em. Lets take a look at one of them that is gonna git a flat out "F". My breathing. Shoot, I cain't even walk to the "billy jeep" without get'n winded. I puff little cigars an' cough up a storm. I have to work really hard to get a full breath. That's COPD ya know, or as Dr Fronkinsteen said, emphysema. What the hell does he know, he's a cardiologist, not a freak'n lung specialist. But....I agree with him.

Then there's the "no energy" factor I have. I don't walk ya know or get any physical exercise. Now let me 'splain that one to ya. When I try to do any walk'n, or exercises, my freak'n back an' legs hurt something terrible. Would YOU walk if'n it hurt ya like that? It's not a "ya gotta walk to feel better" situation. I cain't walk. Period. Well, maybe I could on a golf ball swak'n course try'n to whooop the OFM Barney.

Then bout my heart condition. Shoot, it works just fine. Or I suppose it does. Blood pressure is OK, blood oxygen level is just fine, ain't got no chest pains....shoot, I feel fine. But, I had decided this was the year to have Dr Fronkerstune to give me that stress test he's been whinn'n bout for the last 3 or 4 years. So, no complaints for a stress test in Georgia before surgery. Should be able to also get my prescriptions renewed. Maybe even changed.

Now I got to have a complete physical by a general practice doctor. Now how in God's name am I gonna pass something like that? I'm 72 year old. Old people ain't anywheres near as physical as young kids. Well, let me take that back. Kids now days just sit on their ass text'n, play'n games an' stuff like that.

I'm think'n I'll do just fine on everthing except for the lung thing. I'm go'n with it....first appointment on 8/27/14 an' the last on 9/11/14. My god, I'm gonna be wored slap out.

Ha....got me another little project. Ya see, I need to "git off my ass" an' do something. I got a Walmart special cabinet that I'm gonna rework....modify.

Ain't gonna tell ya what I'm gonna do, but when it's finished, you can bet a dollar there will be some photos. Before, during an' after. Damn, I can hardly wait. I love projects.

Ok, I wrote too much. Yesterdays comments were perfect....'cept'n for one. In case ya think I don't read comments, I hope ya didn't bet a whole lot. I try my best to answer, but sometimes I'm lost for words. Hang in there.

  1. Billy-- you don't have to do anything physical to pass your physical. It's an abbreviation for having a physical exam. That is getting all your systems checked out. Blood work, Listen to your heart and lungs check your skin etc. All you have to do is show up. If your lungs are really bad, they may give you inhalers or other medicines to improve them. Also, you don't have to "pass" the exam. they just want to know what they will be dealing with for the surgery. Try to not worry so much about these tests.

    1. Shoot Kristine, I knowed all that stuff. I just wanted YOU to tell me.
Speak'n of inhaler...."yo mama" just loaned me a Advair.

    2. Advair is good. One dose a day. Must remember to thoroughly rinse out mouth OR a yeast infection will insue. Nasty. A medicine I took caused this in past. Nystatin got rid of it.

Have you not been using inhalers in the past? If not, you should. ProAir prescribed for years, I take it twice daily OR as I need it. I now learn it is only for an emergency attack! Duh, my Doc! Duh on many docs.

  2. hi B.B. you have a lot of peoples behind you to go forward and go through all the hoops you need to for your final result , you will be alright ,do not get discouraged . i have a question for you or anybody on your blog . my regular mail man has been off work for the last month and will not be back at work until august 28th . so the post office as been sending 4 different mail men with 4 different vehicles ( i guess the cars are there own private cars ) all 4 of these temporary mail men are driving there cars sitting on the right side of the car ( passenger seats ) . there controls and steering wheel are on the left side as is normal u.s.a. cars are. i just think that is dangerous and possibly illegal . is it just me, or does anyone else agree with me ?

    2. Anony, not everyone knows such fact and right side steering makes perfect sense to me.

  3. Louie: it's you. :) They have the controls extended to the passenger side, usually. At least the pedals. This is how it is done in rural areas and has been for decades, so I'm guessing there isn't too much of a history of it being dangerous.

  4. I don't believe that anyone with emphysema can never have surgery. I think they do the tests so they are aware of potential problems and have the right specialists on hand in case there is a problem. You'll do fine if you quit googling :-)

  9. Kristen nailed it BB. They know your not in perfect health or you would not be there. They are going to test you to see how your body reacts to levels of stress. They need to know these facts.
Its like when you were doing HIVAC, you did not go to a problem and just replace a part without doing some system testing. Put some gages on it and see what's going on,high pressure/low pressure that tells you a lot.
Well that's what the good smart Doctor is doing for you,he wants to know what your levels are so there are no surprises when he puts you out. Get well soon because I Have a Evenrude 225 that needs rebuilding and I have a parking spot on the river for the winter.

    1. Gee River, that's the best offer I've had since "Chili Bob" offered to take me trout fish'n at 10,000 feet on a lake in Colorado. What river did you say that was?

Also like your analogy...or what ever ya call it, on hook'n up a set of gauges.

  12. All I got to say is: I assumed that is Sadie in the chair. A haircut sure changes dogs looks. My Charley got one recently. No one human nor the other three dogs recognized him. They just sniffed his hindquarters, then matters were settled. Hahaha. Hmm, debating whacking this long mop of mine off to a sorta crew cut. Hah, my dogs will really be mystified, eh? Thank goodness I'm not of their category...if you get my drift. Hahahahaha

Billy Bob, I want you to calm down and quit worrying so much. It's not helping your situation. I am so disappointed that you are still going to have pain though. That just stinks. I have times I would gladly overdose IF I had anything for my pain. Danged doctor, who doesn't believe in prescribing any pain medicines - Not much of a doctor in my book. I just need some relief. All the abuse with drugs by those who get them to sell has caused a terrible rift for those who are in critical need. I imagine this is a widespread problem, not just my area. I've never abused medicine and take only if absolutely needed. Yet matters are worsening for me just in the past couple months.
